hey jengar, i think the lines are split like this: Fury's are the Hawker and McDonnell Douglas (only at the phantom) The spitfire line is Gloster, Supermarine, English Electric (The lightning) Third is The Fleet Air Arms (FAA) After that the last two are the light bomber/heavy fighter and heavy bomber line respectively i think

About the Blenheim, the gunners make it for a great bomber/fighter interceptor

Fun fact about the Swordfish, it was so successful at torpedoeing the Bismarck because of how bad it was. The swordfishes that attacked the Bismarck flew so low and slow that the Bismarck's AA defenses overshot and overled them, since the guns were calibrated to fire against faster moving planes. The only scored hit by the Bismarck's AA against one of the attacking swordfishes was right after the swordfish pulled up and accelerated after dropping its torpedo.

Love the series keep it up. One thing to mention and that is the use of Torpedoes. Now I know for most it is a loosing feat to try, but you made no mention really of them. It seems that could have been a point of interest for many to talk about or attempt to use Torps.

I won’t say British tech tree rank 1 is a suffer. Swordfish is a meme plane so it must be researched My only problem with these plane is the lack of power of offensive weapons The 7.7 x2 don’t really work well. As a new player, those 7.7 are terrible to aim compare to 50 cal or soviet 7.62 or even German ones But if you want to try what really is suffer , go to German Tech tree and Fw 200 C is waiting for you (stock is even more terrible)

i didn't really like the rank 1 british tech tree, but rank 2 is mighty fine. Bombers are pretty sexy, fighters have great firepower and maneuverability and, they're really flexible with you being able to play multiple roles as a hurricane or a spitfire

I also hope you include tactics for new players at the start of the match for each plane. Expectations for each plane with regards to survival. Also RP limits for each Rank (ie you cannot RP higher rank aircraft with Reserve aircraft as an example).

Are we ever going to get a rank 1 2 and 3 for Italy and France? I know these must be time consuming to make so how about a quick rapid fire review on just the fighters lol like a simple yay or nay on each one???

I started playing with the british and it killed the fun of aircraft for me for a while lol i saw your video on the hampden and decided to give it a go and it was the most fun i had in air battles. The sea gladiator was nice too. I would like to be a better player in realistic but it is a pain honestly, wasting so much time climbing just to get shot down by a bf109 it doesn't matter what aircraft i use i almost always die first encounter and i don't do head ons. In arcade i do a lot better and most of the time get a positive kd, even playing sim i do better than in realistic and that's just ridiculous. Anyway thanks for the great content i try to learn from you and i think it helps or at least gives me motivation haha. Cheers

Jengar what do you think about the Japanese heavy fighter line? Imho there are some really neat machines, in particular I absolutely adore the top 2 machines, the J5N1 and the Ki-83, the J5N1 feels like a lot more maneuverable Tigercat, the Ki-83 climbrate is insane + both quite nippy and maneuvarable

agreed, still have to fly the J5N1. the middle of the line is less good though, great start, fantastic end, but the middle is much less shiny!

@@jengar6258 true that, the mid Ki-45s arent great, but they arent bad either, imo the top 2 machines more than make up for them; I just recently started flying the J5N1, you get an airspawn and with its climbrate you are mostly the top dog, quite easy to intercept bombers too, both have devastating weaponry (2x20+2x30), the only drawback: the Ki-83 gets into jet games a lot since they moved it to 6.0 (used to be 5.7 afaik)

I started WT in the British Aviation tree. Spitfires were always my favorite WW2 planes. They are great for turnfighting but I always found myself on the back foot when going up against better pilots in boom and zoom planes. I've found myself not playing in them that often due to their low durability and weak fire power and even using premium planes for CAS in Ground RB. I just feel like alot of the Spitfires are a bit weak when compared to planes in similar tiers and BR.

Just started out with my first air craft in warthunder last week (been playing tanks far longer and played WoT years ago) I picked britian, and.. I wanted a bomber. I like the brass rings on the nose and I do kinda like the look of biplanes. Knowing about the Swordfish and the Bismarck... You guessed it, the first ever plane I grinded in WT is the Swordfish :P The worst one. But personally, for me the fun factor is very high (not for the team xD) As I enjoy merly just flying the thing every foot. I somehow as a complete noob did already mange some CAS kills with it tho.

Honestly if you don't mind throwing a few bucks at the game the Wirraway has the exact bombing capabilities as the swordfish while being faster. It's a slower while turning, but the flaps don't break until you're almost at top speed anyway so that helps. It's technically a strike fighter though, so no air brakes. You do get a second 7.7mm gun though while also keeping the rear Gunner. Given the speed of the sword fish actually makes CAS kills easier, and it can carry torps. My recommendation is getting the Hurricane Mk 4 that can get the two Cannon gun pods, I believe it is like 2.0 for 2 40mm cannons and 2 7.7mm. The armored target belt for the 40mm gets 70mm of pen at 10m and still retains 50mm of pen at 1000m. If that isn't to your taste it can also carry AP rockets, or bombs. Although I hardly see people using the cannons, it's stereotypical british. No explosive filler it seems like, although it is foldered so may just be a hidden gem lol. It's probably better for critting tanks than outright killing them like bombs would, but you do get 15 shots to try.

I felt like rank 1 British planes were a bit of a slog. Rank 2 though.... feels like cheating. I’m not particularly good but the last 4 out of 5 matches I’ve played I took first place on my team. The Spitfire feels invincible and shreds fighters with a 300 meter convergence and the Hurricane IV is hilariously fun to play when you can get the 37s to land consistently
