Yeah, if the player's an idiot... I had multiple occasions when I pushed into the central cap point, and started to shoot at the enemy. There was almost always a Death Barn, who just waited for me to reload...

Oxy says KV-2 can inspire fear in opponents, but KV-2 players themselves are more scared of their own reload speed. They often take a while before shooting and that's when I easily kill them through those big flat armor plates.

Depends. If you get uptiered and see one, they're pretty spooky because you can't touch them and they can just click you out of existence if they happen to be reloaded. In their correct BR or if they get uptiered, and you have a decent gun, they're kind of a joke. If you're good with it, you're going to play it like a TD that can bounce shots if you make a mistake. But since it's a meme tank, almost nobody actually plays it enough to be good at it.

I'm having a blast with the SU-152 too, surprisingly good ! I kind of disagree with the survivability analysis given in the video, I''m rarely getting front penned even against tigers, and a lot of shells will bounce of if you avoid standing still, like oxy advised doing with the KVs. And mobility is still enjoyable for the most part and often allow to nope out of a tricky situation. Very enjoyable tank destroyer. I'm yet to try the ISU but I hated the KV85 for it's bad handling and I see that the ISU uses the same gearbox with an even weaker engine. Not sure if that one has as much potential as the first one.

The KV-1 zis-5 is honestly my favourite tank, I usually enjoy using it when I'm burnt out or just not feeling well in general and still manage to do somewhat decent in the match

I like it but I'm seeing so many full uptiers these days (tigers H1, M18...) that I rarely enjoy it anymore. I gave a shot at the KV1-S that I never seriously considered playing, and I find that I'm doing overall much better in it, and that the 0.3 drop in BR does wonders for the matching.

It's because its 57mm gun had very muzzle velocity for the time: 990 meters per second. it gave it a very straight trajectory compared to the slower and heavier 76mm shells of other T-34s.

Oxy, the ZiS 43 was notorious in real life for its bouncy suspension, to the point the gun's recoil can make it sway just enough it made it hell to fire. In most causes legs were added so when in a spot to fire they were lowered to keep it upright.

Honestly, I never used AP shells with the KV-2. The HE round imo is the best. Easily pen the front of a Tiger H1 or E as well as jumboes, and hull break light veichles.

One thing you forgot to mention btw (at least I'm pretty sure you forgot) the ASU-57, being a postwar vehicle, has Night Vision, despite being at such a low BR. This means you can use it effectively at top tier in night battles where your armour is still not going to save you, but obviously it's a lot more risky since everything else also has Night Vision or Thermal optics. Unless you want to farm God mode achievements for silver lions, I suppose.

An update about the Zis 43 AA, it seems as if they fixed the bouncing issue. The recoil is a bit bouncy, but nothing like in this video. If you stick to single shots you are way better off, but even during burst it is fine. Something that you didn't mention is that it is the first AA that you can shoot over front of vehicle and even depress the gun, albeit only -5 but that is all the way around the vehicle. That makes it much more flexible. Mine is still stock but I am finding it very effective. I love these reviews, I am coming back to them quite often in learning tanks as I get them and also enemies. So thanks yet again.
