In the days of BEA EDI was a "captain only" landing because of the runway alignment and the cross winds. That's long gone but as a regular flyer into EDI I can testify to it regularly being gusty and bumpy.

I do not think so. BA have always operated flights between Heathrow and Edinburgh/Aberdeen, Flybe did add an additional one or two flight a day to these airports. Flybe were good at doing the shorter Birmingham and Manchester to Edinburgh/Aberdeen flights. But it will be interesting as Logan has taken some of the old Flybe flights.

Also, Flybe’s operating licence was officially revoked a couple of days ago... meaning they will probably lose all their LHR slots.

@@benbrowne Very true, They may get some of there old slots that Logan did not take, but non will be LHR flights. I think they will pick up some of there old Birmingham / Manchester / Newcastle and Bristol slots back.
