British Airways Airbus A350-1041 | London Heathrow to Madrid *Full Flight*

My first ever flight on an Airbus A350! Finally got round to getting myself on-board one of only 2 (at the time) of British Airways' Brand New A350's for a short intercontinental hop from London to Madrid. The A350 has been doing a number of flights between the 2 cities for its first few months to help bed the aircraft into the fleet before they start doing more longhaul routes. I was also fortunate enough on this flight to try out BA's brand new "Club Suite" which was introduced on the A350's and is soon to be fitted on some of their other longhaul aircraft as well. So the video includes a good look around the seat area and a look at its features as well as a glimpse of the service in Club Europe. With it only being a shorthaul flight, the service offered was Club Europe, which is not the same as what would be served on longhaul flights. Being in club also meant I was blessed with a perfect engine view from seat 11K over looking the huge RR Trent XWB-97.
An early morning, 06:20 departure from Heathrow. A typical autumnal, gloomy start. Grey & wet, which actually made for some quite good condensation during the climb off of 27L. Once above the clouds and continuing with our climb after a few step by step holds out of London, greeted with a beautiful sunrise just in time for breakfast to be served in Club. During the cruise managed to have a little wonder around and a nosy at the World Traveller Plus cabin. Traveller Plus is a service only offered on Longhaul flights. Therefore the seats are not sold for a Madrid so the cabin was completely empty of passengers. Once on the descent a nice clear day in Madrid, long approach all the way round and in from the opposite direction and a rather firm, "positive" landing we'll call it, onto Madrid Barajas' RWY32L.

A very nice aircraft indeed. The Club Suite is certainly a huge step up from the current Club product and I look forward to many more flights on the A350's to come. After this flight I was actually heading straight back to London on the same aircraft. So after a short wait in the terminal I was back onboard for the return leg to Heathrow. I see from other comments that this was a crew training flight (?), but otherwise is there not that much passenger traffic between London and Madrid? Or was it just the lower demand resulting from the epidemic?

What time zone is Madrid in vs LHR? Your flight leaves at 650am but according the FA,arrival at MAD is at 7am local time? Interesting scene at LHR--electronic sign says passengers can come forward for boarding but nobody is in sight! Boarding music is WAY too loud,your business class cabin looked fairly empty--the A350's engine sound on takeoff sounded like a Triple 7,the flap motor sounded identical to a A380--interesting engine sound during climb,guessing London air traffic was heavy,judging from the thrust reduction,at MAD,parked next to my favorite Airbus model,A340-600! What is that ring on your left index finger?
