We were lucky to fly this route last year - the outbound leg was in the old F cabin and the return was in the new cabin. The difference was significant, with the sliding door and also significantly larger IFE screen and improved seat comfort. We were really impressed by the CCR, the service from the cabin crew and the very credible hard product onboard.

1:09 That price looks like a one-way fully flexible fare, hence why its so expensive, usually you can get an F return to JFK for around £4000 Also the CCR is reserved for BA First customers and GGLs on BA flights only. Passengers on other oneWorld airlines are not eligible (though BA is the only airline operating out of T5 other than IB who don't have an F cabin anyway), GGLs also have to be on a BA flight, so a GGL on an Iberia flight would NOT be eligible

Flew this route march 2023 JFK to Istanbul. A brother was very impressed. This flight was only $5400, though 😂. If you buy further out, it can be as low as $4000 r/t. Very classy B.A

@deezim thats a tricky one! The window seats definitely feel more exclusive in my opinion, however the middle two are much more fun/social! If you fly on the newer first product, I don't believe there is any option to dine together with window seats!

@@nomisli that’s a great question! I don’t believe within Europe it is the norm, no. However I have done it once before in a first class dining environment, where I received formal restaurant style service. That felt normal, in that instance

Concorde Room at T5 is the best! I also listened at the end when you mentioned about an upcoming video about the JFK first class lounges for BA. From my lounge experience, the food and beverage selection felt most exclusive in the Chelsea lounge tho there was no view from there. Anyway, the other lounges are next to it or near it.

Very nice detailed video. You checked in and walked to the Concorde Lounge. It looks like you have a view of the tarmac. In our case, we will have a stopover for 1hour and 40 mins. Is the Concorde lounge near the gate of B777-300? Another schedule has 5 hours layover for A380. Happy travels.

Recently flew LHR to JFK on 1st. On the whole good, but the flight there had no wifi and the flight back did not have the kids menu that I pre ordered. Good if you can get a deal, but I would never pay full fare.

You do not get access to the Concorde Room from parter F tickets. You must be BA F, buy some sort of pass for it ( again you have to be flying BA) or that Gold BA thing.

The product looks more like a business class suite. However, the luxury of privacy and comfort abroad a long flight is great. Have you seen Singapore Airlines Suites? I watched another KZbinr who sampled this and it looks out of this world. Not convinced BA first is worth the price tag, but I suppose it’s a personal preference.

Do BA now cater 1st Class to guarantee first choice of meals. Have it on good authority that crew often have to make two starters out of one portion ? Also my last 3 flights with BA the inflight entertainment repeatedly failed throughout the flight. Yes service is good but can be hit and miss if you get the very young (children) crew. If you get some older crew then the professionalism and discretion is second to none. Oh and when you arrive in New York expect the staff to be rude, brash, and very loud. don't expect any type of service or the facilities to be clean.

BA First is a nice product overall, but nice is just not good enough at this level of travelling and at these prices. BA First is not competitive with any of the European carriers that operate first class (Lufthansa, Swiss & Air France) and it's certainly not competitive with the first class products on the majority of the middle eastern and asian carries. I appreciate that airlines like Emirates, Etihad & Singapore airlines have nearly unlimited budgets, but BA need to do better.

The problem with BA is the poor customer service They sold me a 1st class return to Dubai and tried to put me on business class, Belgian Airways on the way home they abandoned me in Madrid for four days constantly changing my flights they tried to downgrade my partner from Business on the route to Cairo when we bought the tickets for months in advance Hawley no, they are a dreadful airline. Do not use them. Emirates first is 1 million times better.

Jesus that’s $21,000 AUD!! I dont want to buy the bloody plane, just fly in it! For that price I’d want the CEO of BA to check me in personally and escort me onto the plane. I wouldn’t want to have to go down the escalator with the riff raff to board. Take me in a sedan chair please. I’d want the best UK chef to cook and serve me dinner, Egyptian cotton sheets of the highest quality for the bed, and no turbulence the whole flight.
