@kstsfx no it probably British made as the first eight helicopters were built by Boeing; the remaining 59 were assembled by Westland Helicopters. we bought the wrights to build them

The engines on the WAH-64 indeed were replaced for Rolls Royce engines. The 11% more power is only exploited during take-offs due to the existing transmission on the WAH-64. The General Electric engines are not "dog shit". Actually the AH-64 has a slightly higher cruise speed. AH-64 cruise speed: 265 km/h WAH-64 cruise speed: 259 km/h And to kstsfx: The WAH-64 is made by AgustaWestland, based in UK and Italy. The AH-64D longbow is made in US.

Its the same radar, but the British Army Apache is heavily modified from the AH64D.

The Boeing is bought in, then modified by AgustaWestland. Chief among the modifications are different, more powerful engines, new avionics etc.

Actually the sensor dome on top is not how you identify it since it is removable and you can swap it onto other apaches and you only need 1 in a group of them bc it relays all the info to the others, basically without the dome radar on top it's still an apache longbow lol

The British modify theirs to make them better than the US ones, we add larger fuel tanks for longer flight distances, the engines are replaced with more powerful and reliable Rolls royce ones, we give them a masively improved radar and defence mechanism know as HIDAS and the british fly as a pair of Apaches rather than one US Apache.

Um no its not its made in Britain south africa and somtimes asia, nothing to do with the US the British apache MK1 longbow, is better has the latest tech and has a better engine.

Saying the Apache is not an American helo because it was not made in the U.S. is really gay!! That's like saying the P-51 did not use a British engine because it used a Merlin that was made by Packard in the states.
