So here we are, Day 3 completed, managed 7.5 miles this evening just before last light. Total milage now at 33 miles, which is slightly ahead of our target at this point.

Pvt Atkins should know by now that things can and often do get a lot worse when in the field . 😂 nothing finer than a cold potato salad and a cold hard boiled egg with just your water bottle on a tipping down freezing windy day on the otterburn ranges . Luxury 😂 that totals climbing nicely 👌

God I have spent many a happy....or should that be wet, weekend on the Redesdale and Otterburn ranges. Even squaddies (in the early 70's) were banned from a local pub. Wonder if it is still the same.

@@sidneybowerman558 I had an uncle who served in the RA in the early 60's , had a big punch up in the Otterburn hotel with squaddies from another Rgt. Fought all the way up the road to the camp 😂 sent the local Bobby to sort it .🤦‍♂️ happy days eh . 😂 I remember redesdale camp too , nothing left of it now sadly . They trained troops for both wars there you used to be able to see when pointed out , the ghost's of the outlines of the old trenches that were dug there out on the ranges .

I have been intrigued by the MRE and other preserved military food that is available for sale on the web. "Just in case" springs to mind. I have seen some of those NATO videos where troops from different NATO countries tries each other food. Well done on what you are doing.
