Understanding now just what a musical genius he was...Awesome Singer,easily one of the the top 10 guitarists of all time ,dancer,multi instrumentalist,song writer, just like Mozart and other greats throughout time he is easily up there with them and easily best all rounder of the modern era. I was only 15 back in mid 80's and didn't appreciate him at all but now in 2021 at 51 i'm starting to enjoy all performances on youtube and see just what a talent he really was!!!

A true artist in every sense of the word, Prince truly enjoyed music and performing for people who enjoyed it as much as he. The fact that he so meticulously chose his band, making sure they were like-minded and as passionate is what kept him current. Prince went "viral" and has been trending since he first released Dirty Mind and been a phenom since Purple Rain went from an album concept to a movie vision Prince brought to life. Videos didn't pop until Purple Rain hit the big screen and since then music videos became more thematic, purposeful and creative with the artist in the forefront. Missy Elliot and Beyonce grasped the mantle soon after but Prince will always reign as King.

I don't know how many of you r spiritual and believe in God but I have a theory. Prince was a special mold made by God. He had no children bc he was nvr to be duplicated. If I'm not mistaken there were three women who had miscarriages and one child died shortly after birth. It is obvious his music was meant to change the world and the course of music. No training at all, played 27 instruments, had a beast of a vocal range, wrote and composed all his music and wrote several great songs for other ppl and cld play the guitar as good as Hendrix. He was not meant to have children. Only one Prince.
