Funny thing is, in Pakistan in school we go with proper British English spelling and grammar and everything but by the time we hit uni we basically pick up American English and accent because of pervasiveness of American media. As a child of 90s I learnt to speak English by watching CNN while still using British spelling at school. Weird world isn't it?
