English is one of Pakistan's official languages, along with Urdu. Although virtually nobody in Pakistan speaks English as a first language, around 49% of the population does speak it as a second language. one more thing I want to add is that we study all subjects in schools, Colleges, and Universities that are taught in the English Language except Urdu Subject itself.

Beautiful. Amazing reaction. I love the way you really focus on every aspect of music and production and do not just make a video for sake of making a reaction video. You have a pretty good understanding of music and art, my friend. And if you ever come to Pakistan, visit to Islamabad and Northern mountaineous areas of Gilgit, Hunza, Swat etc. is a must. Plus the big, old cities of Lahore and Karachi. In most cities, people can speak (or at least understand/communicate) in English so communication should not be an issue. But the best way is to inform our youtube community prior to visiting, that way you may find some good local friends here to plan and help throughout your visit.

Not many know that Ali Sethi is Haward graduate and written few books as well. And if you really are going to Pakistan then must visit karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Queta, Islamabad and then G&B plus Kashmir it'll be great to visit few small towns on your way to major cities. So you have a real mix flavour and diversity that you can feel and experience.

In Pakistan we learn English and Urdu since elementary level. The only places you might have trouble with language is with street vendors. Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad are definite must if you want to go visit Pakistan. In other news, Xulfi used to be in bands as lead guitarist. He went on from there to produce Nescafé basement and after success in that he brought key members into Coke studio season 14. The whole season 14 is mainly his baby

typical balochi topi... adorned with hand stitching and little bits of glass and beads... it's a cultural thing :D ... the pattern on some of their shirts is the typical Sindhi Ajrak... so basicaly pakistan has various cultures within itself... Sindhi, Balochi, Punjabi, Pakhtoon... and you get a representation of all of them in pasoori and literally in all of coke studio... In Peechay hut, there's some verses of Gilgit area languages from the north of pakistan.. it might be interesting to you from a western perspective but for us pakistanis it's also refreshing to see all of our cultures and subcultures so well represented, sometimes we have to follow along with the subtitles too as not everyone in pakistan knows each others language... There's Sindhi spoken in sindh, there's balochi spoken in balochistan then there's an entirely another language called Pushto for the people in the north-west of pakistan and then there's punjabi from the punjab region... and even within these regions there's various sub-local dialects based on where people settled and who the've interacted with over the years... so on the border of sindh and balochistan you are going to find a variant of balochi that's both balochi and sindhi simultaneously... and i find it so fasinating how these languages sound phoneticaly.. The people in the north of pakistan speak gilgiti, and since they are so close to china their dialect phonetically has a lot of chinese tonality and sounds almost chinese to someone listening to it from the outside... while pakhtoons sound like russians... punjabi itself is a whole vibe.. So most Pakistanis are actually bilingual... natively.. Everyone for the most part speaks urdu as their national common language.. which itself is a hodgepodge of around more than a dozen languages borrowing words from punjabi, hindi, farsi, even some words from english :D then there's all the other local variants based on the provinces and then additionally we usually learn english to communicate with the outside world.. we honestly don't get enough credit... i mean i'm sort of pentalingual and i had to be, cause i was born in Lahore which is in punjab so punjabi became my home tongue, then i grew up becoming proficient in urdu and english as most kids are as a middle class household to better integrate in the job market as adults, then i spent some time in sukkur which is in interior sindh and i picked up sindhi there by living and working among sindhis... then i spent some time in the north and picked up on a little bit of gilgiti... and i know some passing words of pushto because i have a lot of friends in my home city Karachi that's like the ultimate melting pot of all cultures of pakistan, lots of friends who run dhabas ( street restaurants ) and tea stalls ( most tea stalls and street restaurants serving local foods ) are run by people from the pushtoon community and hence pashto spoken commonly Compared to us, ya'll in the western world are pretty vanilla in language, all you'll got across all your country is English.. yeah you'll have dialects but imagine irish being an entirely different language phonetically, grammatically and interpretatively different from British English. Sorry for the long comment, can't attach pictures or i would have given you a potato (yes i'm a 9gagger)

Okay, Johnny please clear my confusion, in the Vids world, I have seen different people reacting so how does this work? also which one is your channel? You sound so original and sincere in your reactions, you sound so down to earth. You are most welcome to come and visit Pakistan. You can visit northern Pakistan and the south. Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore I mean there are tonnes to see. No almost 80 percent of people cannot speak English because Urdu is our national language. So no not on street you won't be able to find someone like that but yes you will come a cross few on the way for sure who would help you. We are hospitable and welcoming. So you are welcome whenever you wanna come. But you are no doubt a wonderfully sensitive and pleasant human being because it shows. Thank you so much for your love for Pakistan and Pakistani music.

@@emanbokhaari Pakistan has the third largest number of English speakers in the world at 108,036,049 speakers. The English spoken in Pakistan is a variation of the language and is called Pakistani English or Polish About 27% of the Pakistani population speaks English as a first language while 58% speak English as a second language. This is what I meant. Alhamdolillah we have our national language, and you young lady made it sound like I just cursed or something on Pakistani people. All I meant was that Pakistani people are not REALLY into speaking in English even thou they somewhat understand it. I'm bad at typing, im an English Teacher and I know how many people are interested in communicating in English which has nothing to do with written English. Johnny here was asking about the speakers. If you talk about street talk people manage to speak few words to get through what they want to convey but speaking the proper language would be rare on the streets. Hope you get your answer. And you are missing preposition in your sentence you wrote. Just saying.
