I love a full English breakfast, it definitely sets you up for the day and I always cook mine in the oven too as less greasy and more healthier for you. Baked beans bang on nice and thick with butter. The only thing I wouldn’t have is fresh grilled tomato as I’m not that keen I like the tinned tomatoes

British Cook, I'm from America you probably already know this, your cut of bacon includes what we call tenderloin (sliced thin) and sliced thicker it's called a boneless pork chop that's why it's confuses a lot of Americans. Breakfast bacon and breakfast tenderloin are two different things here, your British bacon is cut using the streaky bacon and tenderloin, if we had that type of bacon here is would be very expensive.
@britishcook54686 жыл бұрын
Hi Crystal, Thanks for that info, the style of bacon I use in it is cheap and traditional here, really tasty and natural. Cool Avatar btw.

Hey Sonia :D Thank you very much, those baked beans sound good, dont they stick though in the pan with maple syrup?
@AvaT424 жыл бұрын
British Cook No they don’t stick. The maple syrup is in there from when the beans are put in the can. The flavour is so good. Mind you I could put maple syrup on anything lol
@britishcook54684 жыл бұрын
@@AvaT42 But the nature of maple syrup means it does stick and burn if you are not careful :D Maybe its just flavouring?
@AvaT424 жыл бұрын
British Cook I read the label and the front said, Maple style beans, but on the back in ingredients it has maple syrup in brackets, confusing I thought, so I emailed the company. They wrote back and said the maple syrup used in all their recipes is 100% Canadian. So I presume they mean it is real syrup not flavouring. I heat mine in the microwave and never had it stick to the bowl. Lol.

Nice vid! I just randomly started watching this as I ate my FEB sat in Dubai.. you’re right in one sense - all the English pubs here know / serve a pork based FEB, other places don’t (because it’s a Muslim country so pork is ‘behind closed doors’) many places pretend to do a full English with fake bacon (veal or turkey - sometimes not too bad) and pork or chicken sausage (not a patch on a good old pork banger!) … the only crit I’ve got from this whole vid is how you missed off Irish breakfast in your roll call… it has white pudding as well as everything else (very nice addition if you ask me!!) Anyway - keep up the good work. Cheers.
@dragondroporg2 жыл бұрын
PS - I switched to Branston beans myself - kind of by mistake a few years ago from Heinz … but no looking back.. I tend to stick them on early so they start to get that ‘refried’ vibe - ever so slightly mushy - the sauce reduced a lot. Personal pref but my fam don’t complain! (My FEB’s a quite legendary even though I say so myself lol)

Interesting video. I've always been wondering how one can eat such a heavy breakfast in the morning. In Germany we eat rolls or toast with jam, honey or cheese. Some eat cereals or müsli. The kitchen remains cold except for the toaster and the coffee maker. No offense meant, but I would probably feel sick after an English breakfast. It's also pretty extensive and time-consuming to make it. Does the average person in the UK make this on weekdays before work too? Again, I know people do things differently and that's what makes the world interesting, I just want to understand. ☺
@britishcook54686 жыл бұрын
Hi Anja, The breakfast was used as part of a wedding feast originally and would have been the first meal a married couple would eat together. It was also a very large meal people would eat before going out to work in the cold all day. The one I have made here, I would say is a medium size one, you can make and get a lot bigger by adding more to it. If you have had a few too many drinks the night before, its very popular, or even if you haven't. It's an extremely popular thing still. I don't think you would feel sick after, just very happy lol. To me its pretty easy to make, a lot of people may cut something out like the sausages so then its a lot quicker to cook. I wouldn't say every person makes this, but I'd expect it averages out that a lot of people have one or two of these a week. If depends, if you work in an office not so much as a contrsuction worker might. I hoped this helped a bit :)
@anjafink89966 жыл бұрын
BritishCook That explains it a little. Thank you! ☺ Since hard work exists in every country I've been thinking how workers survive their day here. Maybe it's because we have two breakfasts on weekdays, one at home before work and another one at around 9 o'clock at work. The usual food are sandwiches with cold cuts or cheese. Big factories offer Vienna sausages or meatballs etc. for the second breakfast. Not sure if it's the same in the UK.
@britishcook54686 жыл бұрын
One British Cooked breakfast is enough :D I can't imagine having two of them. Can you imagine two English Fry ups? You are very welcome I love talking about British food and answering questions. Sorry my reply has taken some time. We do have lunch around 12-2pm? Meatballs sound more like a lunch thing?
@anjafink89966 жыл бұрын
BritishCook Thank you for your answer. Nobody would survive two British breakfasts I think. 😁 Our two breakfasts are rather little, just a sandwich at home and a snack at work. Lunch is at around 12 or 12.30 in most workplaces. Then around 3.30 pm we have coffee time, meaning coffee plus a piece of cake or cookies. So we don't see cake as dessert (like in the US, not sure about the UK though) but as an afternoon meal. Funny that things can be so different in countries that are otherwise similar, like the so-called western countries. 🍝☕🍰
@britishcook54686 жыл бұрын
