Any State Fair is famous for "Fair Food." Each has its regional favorites. At the Washington State Fair, they have fishburgers made with salmon called "Sammiches." Since Washington State is a big wine-producing state, you can enjoy your sammich with a glass of fine, white Riesling at the fair's Wine Garden. We also have a booth called "Totally Fried" where they deep-fry everything (oreos, Mars bars, pickles, jello, etc.), but they also sell chocolate-covered bacon too.

I am from northern Minnesota & my mom was a County Extension Agent before she had kids & a 4-H leader after, so we went to the Minnesota State Fair every year of my life until I was 23. I won Champion at the local county fair multiple times & won state fair trips with them - I also lived in the 4-H Building a few weeks every summer for different 4-H camps. I had friends who lived in the barns with the animals too. I actually worked at the State Fair Grandstand & Coliseum for several years as a teenager & young adult & lived on the fairgrounds in a dorm for the entire fair. I remember when Sweet Martha's cookies started & had quite a collection of the buckets since we got at least one bucket every year. I just made some last week - they sell frozen cookie dough at Target here. They are very tasty! They bring back awesome memories of the fair!

Poutine tastes good, but you need to be prepared for the texture of the cheese curd. Cheese curd has an add texture that some first timers may be taken aback by (most of my family was). The cheese spongey and it doesn't melt like most other cheeses. It melts in clumps.

Gideon’s actually has two brick and mortar shops. The first is the flagship in winter park and the new location in Disney springs that has the story of a Tim bourton style haunted library but it’s fun, though the Disney springs location you have to sign up for a virtual queue as it’s so busy but they sell cake slices so it’s a plus. Honestly just get a few cookies and cake slice or two as that is a perfect way to head to the hotel and just relax for a bit in the room. But I’m local to Orlando so Gideon’s is a thing every couple of weeks as their cookies are big and over stuffed.

The smoke from liquid nitrogen isn’t dangerous at all. It’s just water vapor that was quick frozen but the heat of a tongue melts it almost creating that smoke. It’s the same thing from really cold days when you blow out steam instead of air. Just it’s reversed. It’s kinda fun and is dubbed unicorn or dragon’s breath. If you remember the frozen rose demo in chemistry class of you don’t a rose or another flower is dipped in liquid nitrogen and it demonstrates how fragile something becomes when dipped in liquid nitrogen. This exact phenomenon doesn’t happen all the time and this came from that. Food is dipped in liquid nitrogen but isn’t allowed to fully freeze and the result is the breath.

Poutine is so simple but can be changed on the fly. It’s French fries topped with cheese curds and drowned in brown gravy. There is a Hawaiian version changing cheese for pineapple and spam topped with a fruit sauce, thanksgiving which changes the cheese for turkey and topped with gravy, Italian that’s pepperoni with cheese curds and topped with marinara sauce (universal does a version at Halloween horror nights each year called pizza fries). The possibilities are endless with poutine. Disney sells poutine from a stand too as it’s come down to the south as it’s so easy to make and mess with.

Liquid Nitrogen has a freezing point −210 °C (−346 °F; 63 K) and a boiling point of −195.8 °C (−320 °F; 77 K). It is a colorless, low viscosity liquid that is widely used as a coolant. In recent times restaurants have used in preparation of frozen desserts, such as ice cream, which can be created within moments at the table because of the speed at which it cools food. The rapidity of chilling also leads to the formation of smaller ice crystals, which provides the dessert with a smoother texture.

A real proper corny dog should be made with a cornbread batter. Was the restaurant you had them at using a cornbread batter? Liquid nitrogen is very cold, but you're not going to freeze your mouth. If you're going to get fried ice cream, get it in a bowl or cup because it can be messy as it gets warmer. I'm a native Texan, so the only one I've personally had is the corny dog. The Fletcher's brand is the best one, especially since they invented the corny dog. I'm a long way from it, but Fletcher's got their first permission to set up a permanent food truck in Dallas this year, so people can get them fresh if they live in or near Dallas now.

The big e in mass is amazing. It’s weeks long. My friend works there for her job. She always says she preps before like with the holidays bc she knows she’s gonna eat loads. There are a lot of crazy things there. I remember getting a poutine that was massive 3 of us couldn’t finish it. We also had an ostrich burger years ago

I Googled the London Brunch fest. If it was held this year, it's over, but I'm intrigued by The Duck and Waffle. I would guess that this is one of the participants, because its name came up first when I searched "london brunch" without "fest".

I have been going to The Big E for my entire life and live just a few miles from it. There are so much better things to eat than the cream puffs. Let me know if you want to know. Also The Big E is happening again in like 2 weeks. It is every year at ther end of September and beginning of October.

At the beginning of the Ratatouille film the narrator said that the best food is made in France. But because of all the immigrants who populated the US, the states is the actual center for cuisine in the world, especially fusions.
