There are lots of rodeos in Wyoming. Most cities & towns have a sort of fesival or farm fair or carnival in the summer. Check out the area you want to visit & see what things are going on. A carnival in middle America usually has some fun rides & arcade games, lots of delicious food & ppl compete against each other in food, animal & handmade crafts. Farm/ranch equipment is displayed & there is usually a parade of some sort. There are clasdic car clubs that will show off & there are often 'motorcycle rides' that you will see on the Highways on the weekends or on major holidays. Oh, and there are usually great bands at these fairs, too. I still offer to host you absolute legends if you should ever want to visit Hawaii Island.❤

How true your words are! America and Americans want to share this country with awesome people on a learning curve! There’s so much in this country, and only uncaring and uneducated (illegal) occupation people have failed to acknowledge or view it. The government’s immediate problem is a totally compromised president and leadership bank, along with a deep volume of compromised bureau workers, career workers biased and willing to practice their bias. Trump was the beginning, DeSantis will be the future after DJT works the remaining four years of his duty.

10:16 It is in Yellowstone and some of Yellowstone looks just like that. Multicolored springs & mud pots. For my money, go 40 miles south to Grand Teton National Park for beauty. But Yellowstone is a stunning geophysical display. 15:52 Wyoming is a sparsely populated state. If you want to see the 'West' of Hollywood that is one place to go. Just south of Yellowstone & Grand Teton is Jackson Hole. One of my favorite ski resorts. Winters are brutal there so don't go in winter. There are exceptions to this & things to do in winter. Wyoming is not a 'party central' place to be. There are many sites to see (with long distances between each) & you might consider Wyoming or Montana for a 'dude ranch' experience. I have spent time in Wyoming & much of it is like a high plains desert. Maybe Rocky Mountain National park (N Colorado), Grand Teton/Yellowstone (NW Wyoming), and Glacier National park (N Montana) for a two week tour. Keep in mind each of these is about 400-500 miles apart. A lot of that is high altitude also. Just take it easy on the exertion.

Grand Teton/Yellostone is in the Northwest (NW) Wyoming, not the Northeast (NE). If you are driving, one out-of-the-way place to visit is the Medicine Wheel in the north Big Horn Mountains (north central Wyoming). A structure used by ancient natives for seasonal time keeping, similar to Stonehenge.

People in other Countries have often asked me why Americans aren't major international travelers. While there are many beautiful places to visit internationally, there are also so many places to travel nationally and never need to leave America and that is answer enough. I could only travel in America my entire life and never see all of it.

Also, you say it doesn't look real... photos can sometimes capture things in ways your eyes can't, but nothing is the same as seeing these things with your own eyes. You could visit both, as West Yellowstone is in the southern most part of MT while Glacier is near the Canadian border. I would recommend flying into Billings or Bozeman and renting a car. I'd also recommend checking out Red Lodge, Big Sky, and Missoula. My wife and I are in Billings (the largest city) and would be more than happy to meet up or answer any questions you may have! :)

I live in Utah and you can take international flights into Salt Lake City. Utah has a ton of national parks, including Zion national park, Arches National park, and Bryce Canyon national park. We border Wyoming, Idaho, and Colorado and we’re only a day drive to Yellowstone. If you want to visit Wyoming, I’d recommend starting in Utah, driving up through Idaho (maybe stopping at the hot springs there), heading to Jackson Wyoming, visiting Grand Teton National Park, then driving up to Yellowstone. It’s such a beautiful road trip full of national forests, wildlife, and snow capped mountains. ^_^

I visited Carlsbad Caverns in 1985 as an 11 year old. Awesome place. Very cool labyrinth of walkways to take to tour the cave system. To get to the Big Room, you can take an elevator straight down to it, or you can walk down to it through winding paths in narrower areas of the cave. But the whole thing is very well lit and maintained. What we did was to buy one of those tourist books that showed some of the most interesting formations in the cave beforehand and then whe we took the tour, it was fun referencing back to the images in the book whenever we'd come across the real formations.

Where you go depends on what you want to do. Do you want to hike on wilderness trails? Scuba dive? Bird watch? Ski? Or are you content to view things from the comfort of your car and share the more public areas of a park with a lot of other people on easily accessible trails? In addition to seeing natural wonders, do you also want to check out some of the city pleasures -- museums, architecture, varied cultures, great food? BTW, I'm not a big fan of this list. Nice places but I can name dozens I think are more beautiful.

Hi Beesley & Milliie, I know you already looked at the comments so I hope you see this. I agree with another comment...fly into billings Montana or Denver. You will get best air fare into these. I have done both....but my favorite was driving from Denver. 1st .. if you've never seen MOUNTAINS irl from Denver you can just make out the foothills driving north they come into view....it was Awesome 2. most the main roads are like 80 mph or greater so since Jersey is max 40....strap in. 3. Allow plenty of mouth hanging open views, overlooks and hikes. Fun fact for Beesley you don't have to hide in your car as long you don't hike too deep plus they put up. 🐻 bear warning signs whenever they have been reported.

I grew up in Colorado; every year, my science teacher would take us on a field trip down to the "Dunes" (it was about a four- or five-hour drive from where I grew up in south-western Colorado). We own a cabin near West Yellowstone. You can check out both Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park (also in Wyoming) in one trip. With two weeks' time, you can definitely add Glacier National Park to your itinerary. Glacier is about 6 hours north of Yellowstone. Call me biased, but after visiting these three parks, you will be spoiled for scenery. The only thing to keep in mind is that Glacier is only open generally from late June (sometimes as late as mid-July) to early or mid-October. Besides, the National Park Service has just implemented a ticketing system to limit traffic to the Going-to-the-Sun road, THE main road in Glacier.

What I did when I went to Yellowstone was fly into Salt Lake City, Utah. From there we got a rental car and drove up to Yellowstone. We first went and stayed 1-2 nights in Jackson, Wyoming (also known to most people as Jackson Hole). It is located in the right outside of Grand Teton National park which I think is a lot more beautiful than Yellowstone. You could probably spend 2 days just checking out Grand Teton National Park if you wanted to. Then on the way up, we followed Jackson Lake for what seemed like 50 miles. We stayed at Canyon Lodge and Cabins which is kind of like a campground with cabins and it has a mall like building where you can go shopping, get food, and a bunch of other stuff. Once you get away from the lodge area, it's as if you're camping out in the middle of nowhere. We would walk the half mile trail back to our cabin from the dining area and would randomly see deer and other wildlife roaming around as if there were no humans around. If you were to go and stay here, you will want to bring some winter like clothing even in the summer because it's a fairly high elevation and can get REALLY cold in the mornings there. I live in Wisconsin which has some extremely cold winters, and it was a lot colder than I was expecting there. You will also want to look into booking a hotel/cabin about a year in advance because some of the lodging especially at Old Faithful books up a year in advance.

I literally live 4 hours drive away from Yellowstone. And if you get the chance, you definitely need to see it. You can spend an entire week on just that park alone. On top of that, there are other natural wonders, that video just scratches the surface. You could easily just catch a connecting flight to somewhere like Salt Lake City if you can't make it in one flight. Once there you could get a rental car to Yellowstone. Once near Yellowstone you could rent an RV, rent a campsite in the park and drive to places, if you're on a budget you could probably rent a moving van and sleep in that
