I don't think the zip has torn. Some of my British army stuff has the bottom of the zip loose from new. I think it's to stop it taking strain.

CS95 in my opinion was one of the better defence procurement options. In the late 80s/early 90s the best field kit was tropical trousers, jungle shirt and arctic windproof. That's what CS95 was designed from it seems. It's cheap as chips in the UK now it's no longer issued. When I did Nijmegen in 2014 air cadets were still using them.

loved my 95 kit was great compared to what we had before. lightweight denim trousers a green combat shirt and jumper heavy wool. c95 was awesome take care of it and it will be fine alot better than rip stop .

Peter Kemp I though that was the 85 Pattern gear, with the famous Foxtrot Oscar pockets...

@@keithorbell8946 beg your pardon, i meant soldier 2000 shirts and trousers were really shit, I really love the 85 pattern trousers, I never had any problems with the pockets, I like the calfs being narrower and the waist higher I love all the pockets, but regarding jackets solder 90 is my favourite, the ideas they brought into 95 stuff where good then they sort of evolved things for 2000 good ideas but just made with really cheapness as priority which just spoilt them,. I'm pretty sure I've remembered all that correctly, 95 jacket definitely better than 85 but the 85 trousers really great, all in my own humble opinion, anyway, Keith all the best to you Sir and everyone else
