He was so hated after that the Grizzlies basically openly said this guy is done and won’t be back under any circumstances 😂. The difference between him and a guy like Trae is those guys are gonna talk trash and then give you 25 points or more and shut up crowds by scoring. Brooks gets you like 8-10 points and then some above average defense and then his teammates get the brunt of it having to do most of the work against an angry and motivated team. People are a little weird about Dillion, Griz, even before the Lakers series wasn't gonna be able to bring Dillion back. No matter what. He got a 4 year 80 million contract with Houston. Now the Grizzlies have Marcus Smart from The Celtics to run the team and to try to bring an ounce of maturity to the likes of Ja Morant. But the Celtics (my favorite team) got an athletic 7'3" forward/center, Kristaps Porzingus in the deal plus 1st round draft picks, so it was an incredible deal for the Celts.
