USA here, I played Football all throughout Highschool (DB, Corner) The simpliest way to put it is, you're either the Hammer, or you're the Nail. You're conditioned to take hits like this. To us, it's just another hit, you get back up and do it again in another 8 seconds. As most say, Rugby is a Contact sport, where as American Football is a Collision sport on the same range as a car accident going about 30-50 MPH. Don't get me wrong, Rugby is Brutal, No padding or anything of the sort. But give us pads and a Helment and a false sense of Saftey, and we'll hit you with 200% Force, and we won't hold back. As my coach once said, "If he's got the Ball, put him in the ground." 😈

You should give a look toward the US College football as well, they play & hit even harder, since they're fighting at a chance for their future career. @@DonnyShawShow

I love watching people from UK react to this. They normally talk trash about the pads. Then they get in the vid and do this. Makes me proud to be an American.

People give American Football crap because of pads. The pads make it worse because you have a false sense of security so you go harder and faster. When they hit, it's pretty much the equivalent of a 40mph/64kmh car crash. And most of these hits and blocks were perfectly legal. To quote the great Vince Lombardi, which the championship trophy is named after, "football isn't a contact sport, it's a collision sport". We have 32 professional teams and about the same amount in high level semi-pro, Arena League fluctuates but I believe has 16 teams, many amateur leagues, roughly 850-860 college football teams, an estimated 16,000 high school football teams, tons of peewee(kids) teams and 1 Team USA for international league play. Should I mention the female leagues? The most well known being the Lingerie Football League. We like our American Football😁

Offensive players are allowed to truck defensive players like that when in vicinity of the ball carrier. They aren’t allowed to wrap their arms around them to tackle like defensive players though.

As an American i can't wait until London gets an NFL team. Dive into the college game too. Personally i think college football is more exciting than the pro game.

they had one. the London Dragons. they played in the NFL Europe. the league didn't last long. there's just not enough of a fanbase in europe to support NFL franchises.

@@heywoodjablowme8120 not really. there is not enough support for American football in Europe to justify setting up a new league, and there won't be for at least another couple decades. if there was enough support, the NFL would have already done it. but they learned their lesson the hard way when they tried it before and it cost them hundreds of millions of dollars. not to even mention the FACT that the world's entire talent pool for American football players is in America... ain't no other countries picking it up any time soon at a grass roots level to grow the game organically. there's a reason the NFL Europe experiment failed... there's not enough top tier football players to populate it. and there's not enough money to support it. sorry if that hurts your little feelers, cupcakes.

Welcome to the NFL, its one of the big four sports we have here. The others are MLB, NBA and NHL, and don't forget college football, it's bigger than the NFL. The 15 biggest stadiums are all college.8 are over 100K.

Those Brits who rag on our sports can come on over and give it a go. The padding is pretty thin. It is plastic with a little padding. This football deals with CTE, does rugby? The helmets are the big thing. You can see why.

A few suggestions: NFL here comes the boom MLB longest homeruns or best infield/outfield throws NBA best slam dunks NHL biggest glass breaking moments. And for something different try biggest skateboard bails fails and head slams.

Since most people don't read history anymore, we tend to forget our warrior history. Americans LOVE violence. Always have. It's the western tradition of gladiators risking life, what Europeans use to have before WW2 killed all those aggressive guys.
