One thing Overlooked about us Americans is our passion. I’ve watched many (USA vs ... )videos. We are often called loud, ignorant, too patriotic, we believe we are the best thing since sliced bread etc. What they miss is the why. We don’t have the rich history experienced elsewhere, we are made up of so many different peoples. The only thing we have, that unifies us are sports, love of country, our military, our space program. We are passionate for what we do have, we made it all from scratch. 244 years is not a long time but we make the best of it. We are making traditions in real time.

Best video you've reacted to thus far. Btw just a note about the way college stadiums do things: they tend to reserve one section of the stadium for students because those tend to be the rowdiest fans. They're called (appropriately) the Student Section. You should definitely check out the Texas A&M War Hymn. At the end of it, all of the fans stand hand to shoulder and sway back & forth chanting "Saw Varsity's Horns Off" (a dis of their rival, University of Texas Longhorns). This video had a clip of that in it but it was a tad hard to make out what was going on. Texas A&M's student section is one of the craziest because they actually hold Friday night sessions in the stadium to teach chants and cheers and practice them. Also, their Kyle Field is the 5th largest stadium in the World.

We play the national anthem before any event that has a large crowd. It is hard to explain to non-americans why it is important to us, but I will do my best. The flag and the anthem represent a struggle and a war we should have lost. But somehow we won, our great great great grandfathers fought and died for us to have our own country, and this is how we show respect to them, and remember we are here and have our own country because of them

We also have a lot of flyovers at many of our games. You should check it out flyovers, nfl films... also you HAVE to check out Army vs Navy. It’s a football matchup between two of USA’s Military Academy.

At Wisconsin, they do "Fifth Quarter" after the game just for drunken fun! :)

The largest stadium in the U.S. is The Big House - home of the University of Michigan Football. It’s capacity is 107,601 but has had as many as 115,000 in attendance. The only place I know for sure that holds more (but not a stadium) is the Indianapolis Motor Speedway which holds 235,000 just in the actual stands alone. The Indy 500 regularly sees in excess of 400,000 fans. That is one event everyone should attend at least once. It is ridiculously amazing goosebump material.

You show my alma mater -- University of Michigan -- and the U of M marching band comes out on the field and you're like "is that the military?" LOL. I used to live one block from the stadium and on game day it was solid screaming for two hours. Go blue!

the “handkerchiefs” fans are waving are called “rally towels” in the us, and teams often hand them out or place them on seats so fans can have them for big games-the pittsburgh steelers are famous for their yellow “terrible towels” that fans wave every game

The Michigan state chant was actually taken from a football player saying “yes” and doing that motion in a huge game they won.

As a Michigan fan, I loved seeing the fans singing along to "Hail to the Victors" and "Seven Nation Army". Pre-pandemic, it was a full house every game with over 110,000 fans packed into Michigan Stadium and it was so loud. Something I love that wasn't in this video is hearing Detroit Red Wings fans singing to "Don't Stop Believin'", especially when the P.A. mutes the audio so the fans can shout out, "SOUTH DETROIT!"

Yes, you hit in the nail on the head Luka. Sports, especially college sports, are an experience in addition to just being a sporting event. Not everyone at a college game is necessarily a die hard sports fan, but they participate in the hype stuff because it's part of the fun.

One of the best college basketball traditions is the 'Silent Night' game that Taylor University has. There fans are quiet when the ball is tipped off, and do not make a noise or cheer until their team scores 10 points.
