This is an example of a paid game gone wrong. North Dakota State is of the competitive division below FBS, known as FCS. As I said in a previous comment every FBS team from big conferences calls in a team from FCS once a year and gives them a massive paycheck which basically helps keep their program running… They’re supposed to win by 40+ points. Every once in a while this can happen… And sometimes the FCS team wins the game. If Colorado play like this against regular FBS opponents it will probably be a very long year for them. They put it into soccer terms, it would be like Manchester United calling in Harrogate town for a competitive fixture during the regular season, Manchester United running out their full strength starters, and walking away with a draw. Granted North Dakota state has won 11 of the 14 FCS national championships over the last 14 years but they are still FCS… They run on a fraction of the moneycolorado does… And there are 134 FBS schools… You know what players go to FCS schools, even the good ones? The ones that aren’t good enough in high school to make a roster on one of the 134 fbs teams.

@gracielynn9623 The Bisons have a track record of upsetting FBS teams they play. They're a legit team. That said, Colorado's defense needs to switch on the moment they step on the field. That first half was terrible but in the second half they held the Bisons to 6pts. They have the talent on that team to make a bowl game but they gonna have to step it up cause yhe season isn't gonna get easier

@@m-jay356 oh yes I’m very aware of North Dakota states abilities. I typically tried to watch one FCS game every single weekend and it ends up being North Dakota State, South Dakota state, Montana, or Sacramento state a lot of the times because they’re usually the ones in the compelling matchups. In North Dakota state is certainly a lot different than calling in LIU or something like that… But it still doesn’t excuse the fact that they are FCS and do run on a fraction of the budget that Colorado does. Colorado is, in every regard, the significantly more talented team… North Dakota State or some small school from Virginia doesn’t really matter… You have to play better than that in your FCS game or it’s going to be long season.

You don’t gotta react to it, just watch it in your own time. Also I support NDSU and everyone was 50/50 split on who would win. We almost had it. I’m about to watch the reaction

north dakota st plays in FCS which is like the Champioship if you were to compare to the English pyramid. That being said they are by far the most successful program at that level and can beat a lot of FBS (prem) teams on their day

Yea, Travis Hunter , the receiver from Colorado, illegally pushed off several times before he caught the ball. That “”stiff arm” you were proud about, you’re not allowed to make separation with your hands as a recover w the ball in the air. He got away w a lot that would normally be flagged.

"Fake cramps" and injuries are apart of the game now, but it is really hot at the start of the season. Real cramps happen so much too thatvyou cant really argue abt when a guy is or isn't actually cramping up. Most people can tell when the fake it tho

Of all the FCS level teams, North Dakota State has a reputation of being "giant killers", if you will. In 2016 they went on the road and beat No.13 ranked Iowa 23-21. All time they are 9-5 against FBS teams. They traditionally do very well during the playoffs of the FCS (kinda the Real Madrid of the UCL equivalent). Even when they aren't favored to win they can usually gut out a road FCS playoff victory or two. They lost in the FCS semifinals last year, but have won 9 FCS National Titles and have a win percentage of 90% since 2011.

travis hunter was the #1 recruit out of hs as a db a couple years ago. hes so good he can play both sides off the ball consecutively without getting tired

North Dakota State is located in Fargo, North Dakota. They play in a massive indoor arena called the Fargodome. Their mascot is a Bison, but it's pronounced Bye-zon. They compete in the FCS series which is still Division 1, but it's a level below FBS. Very rarely, maybe once every other year, one of the FCS teams will be able to get a win over an FBS team.

Also worth noting that North Dakota state is the most accomplished FCS team within recent history, having won 9 FCS football championships since 2011, and producing more NFL players than any other FCS team. They shockingly have a 9-5 record against FBS opponents, and have certainly proven they should never be overlooked in a matchup, even against more prestigious FBS teams

I just think it's funny that this is a match-up of the Buffalos vs Bisons, which are the same thing. So, we should have expected a close game based on that. But, seriously, this is why most teams play a lower level team the first game, to shake the rust off. Also, it's hard in college football, because there are no preseason games, and there are always a lot of new players every year.

I think cramping more common in the U.S. due to the extreme heat in August and September. Your commentary is great, but part of the enjoyment for me is to hear the original announcers and crowd noise. Of course I can get that on my own, but why not have both at the same time, per usual. Just sayin.

I’m part of the Colorado marching band (golden buffaloes) we were worried at points lol. I think shaduer is headin to the nfl but I’m not entirely sure 11:09 funny you should say that, Deon sanders actually played both sides of the field in nfl back in the 90s
