To answer some of your questions: -You are correct that a juke is a jink/step. -College is indeed where all NFL players start out. -Bull rush is a term used when the defender uses his arms to forcefully shove the offensive lineman back rather than spinning or running around them. -Helmet visors are personal preference. -Running backs are often a bit shorter since lower center of gravity can be a good (or at least neutral) thing for someone running with the ball. With that said, many RBs are still taller guys who run routes and catch the ball as well as running with it, so you get a mix of heights. Most other positions, 6 foot is indeed below average. -To "truck" someone is to hit them very hard, like a truck. "Truck stick" (aka "hit stick") is a video game reference, where traditionally you would push the right analog stick up to "truck" or "hit" a player. For a defender, this would be a hard tackle. For an offensive player, this would be basically running over/through a defender by pure force or momentum. -Anyone can throw the ball. Unless it's a trick play, as you said, then it's gonna be the QB throwing just because he's the best at it (and having someone else throwing while the QB does nothing, so as to avoid a QB injury, means the defense has more players than the offense). Note that only one forward pass may be attempted each play, and it must be made from behind the line of scrimmage (behind the imaginary line where the ball started). -Tyreek Hill's speed is so dangerous because he can simply outrun any defender with a simple vertical route, just has to rely on the QB to throw a decent ball. What a massive weapon.

When TV went from now having overlays for the line of scrimmage, first down and yardage counter (First and Ten) to it being an adopted thing, I remember being astonished lol and thinking "this technology is amazing!" Also Julio Jones being a 99 overall was a Madden reference or am I reading too much into it and they are saying he's the top 1 percentile? lol.

And Tyreek has pads on, take that extra weight off and he's damn near top tier Olympic level Sprint speed, that's insane he's a freak, he was also a very late 5th round draft pick which now seems mindblowing that he wasn't a guaranteed really high 1st rounder.. And btw yeah they're all drug tested regularly many guys have been thrown out of the league for violating something called the "Anti doping policy" that prohibits any PEDs or anything banned by the NFL, idk how regularly they are tested but it's enough that top guys *usually* aren't dumb enough to test the boundaries. Great video man. Cheers.

You keep saying about size of players different positions general require different sizes, like your offensive and defensive linemen will be the largest players in the field running backs are generally smaller and shiftier along with wide receivers and defensive backs. Linebackers like Khalil Mack are generally bigger than running backs but smaller than linemen. It’s not always the case but general rule of thumb

I think what struck me was the speed and athleticism of those bigger guys. That’s one of the things that sets the NFL apart for me! Thanks for watching! You’re so appreciated!

@@IamTyrant what’s truly crazy are these are the freaks among freaks in the nfl. Yes the ncaa is basically a feeder to the nfl but if all college football players only 1.6% makes it to the NFL. I was in high school with a kid who was 3 years younger than myself he actually made it to the nfl albeit lasted 2 games but still officially played in 2 games. Just shows how incredibly insane it is. Also then you have guys like Bo Jackson and Deion Sanders who simultaneously played in the NFL while playing in the MLB some others played in both but not at the same time time. Check out Bo Jackson for an all time freak

I met Dick Butkus (Chicago Bears 1960's) back in the 80's. Most bad ass dude I've ever seen. 6'5", 285 lbs he looked every inch a total warrior. He could stop a running back with one hand and slam him into the ground so hard he'd knock the dude out. Offence's would engineer plays designed to avoid him. He hit so hard he would knock his own players out.

Has the sport become more technical and less physical in recent years a la European Soccer. They used to break legs for fun in the 80's and 90's but now everyone is "highly tuned machine" rather than player. Its not meant as a direct comparison as obviously AF has much bigger hits! but basically I'm asking if the game has changed from that point of view?

"Truck" or to 'Truck" is when a runner (RB, FB usually) runs through or over defenders like a truck would run through a fence. Barkley is a finesse RB but can 'bring the truck stick" if needed.

and yes, there are tons of trick plays called "flea-flickers" where the quarterback tosses the ball to someone else who then tosses it again to the person who is going to throw it down the field. May be a receiver or a running back or even a tight end depending on who can execute it. They're not common because it's a risk that it won't work and our sports are ALL about stats

All right, welcome back, another great video. Running backs are typically a bit "shorter" than the other guy, 6 foot or under, and are usually stalkier with short burst speed and shiftiness. Although, the top end speed are getting more impressive every year. Usually running backs and linebackers on defense are most comparable to ruby players in size and body type, and tend to be the favorite positions for rugby fans. Lastly, college football is definitely the feeder for NFL, because other than MLS recently, no the other big 4 sports don't have academies. You should watch some college football videos, because it is about 50 years older with more traditions than NFL.

also "truck stick" was coined from the madden franchise. If you're a big hitter, you get a special "truck" animation that lets you hit harder and the name carries over to real life.

There are loads of trick plays. The 'Flea Flicker' is the most common (my guess). 'The Statue of Liberty" and others that do and don't have names. Trick plays are more common in college than NFL and yes there's a trick play compilation on youtube.

Tyreek is one of those players thats great on the field but a lot of people dislike him because he has domestic violence issues in the past. Beat his pregnant girlfriend and broke his 3 year old sons arm. Its a shame because he really is one of the best receivers.

With all due respect, Tyreek didn't do that to his son. Authorities confirmed. He does have some domestic issues with his ex, but the stuff about his son was nothing but a set up by an amoral journalist and sketchy partner

This video is one man's opinion. Opinions are like assholes, everybody has one. Only one forward pass is allowed ANYONE CAN THROW IT. Usain bolt was 27.7mph, Hills best 100m race in a track meet was 10.08sec. Bolt is so much quicker. But compare nfl speed to premiere league speed. No premiere league player is verified sub 11 seconds.

Many catches in football are pure luck. But it actually doesn't take that level of luck very often. Tight End is a lineman that can be part time receiver. They can help block with the rest of the line or take off & go downfield on a pass route. Choice of visors on the face mask - when the drugs have your eyes too dilated. LOL!! There are clear visor too & don't really know why. Eye gouging? NO! Not only the quarterback can take the ball from center and/or throw it. It is rare today but still perfectly legal. I haven't seen it in years, But the running back can take a snap under center. Linemen are prohibited to take a snap. Interior linemen are prohibited from running downfield to catch a ball. Unless the very sketchy 'center eligible' play. The reason it doesn't happen more is there is no benefit. All teams have trick plays. Some even have elements of what you say. There is only one forward pass per play but lateral passes are unlimited. Steroids in baseball. Steroids in College football was rampant not so long ago. It doesn't seem to be a problem in the NFL. OH!! Which super bowl? I would make it a close one. I would watch college championship game. Many super bowls are a little boring.
