I've send care-packages of snacks from the Netherlands to a friend of mine in Finland and to my girlfriend in the US. It's great fun to do and get their reactions over live stream. Also, our cheese is VERY loved in other countries. Especially in the US. You can go to your local cheese shop and you can get a block of cheese vacuum sealed in plastic and it'll stay good for 2 months, long enough to survive a journey to a country on the other side of the planet!

At 20 it was an upset stomach. Now at 51 it is tongue swelling and food poisoning symptoms for days after. I was once hospitalized because my brother put chicken broth in the rice. (He claimed it was an accident. However, my best friend believe it was a murder attempt. Lol still an on going debate among them.)

We really like our liquorice here in the Netherlands, most grocery stores have two parts of the wall (top to bottom) filled with different kinds. Its hilarious to watch people who are not used to the taste eat it, I think thats why people continue to send it to people who taste snacks. Even though almost nobody likes it, their faces are great 🤣🤣
