Just so you know, I'm from Singapore and Old Chang Kee has a history of selling the puffs from a cart and cooked the pastries there and then and sold it from the cart before selling his product to a businessman who made it more famous and many old generations in Singapore loves the taste of the curry puffs. The shops do carry a variety of puffs and some other products that would be considered as finger foods on a stick or even if you are craving chicken wings. The chicken wings are pretty big. The items sold may be oily to some but locals here find its a comfort snack.

@popzapx4 жыл бұрын
I grew up in Singapore and I still remember as a kid that we would sometimes beg our school bus driver to stop at Old Chang Kee's original curry puff shop and we would buy them fresh out of the fryer.....sooo good. Now Old Chang Kee is so successful they have a chain of outlets. On my last visit to Singapore I did try those chips as well - they're great!

I've had them, and to be honest, they're kinda too eggy for me. Like, they leave a weird sandy texture in my mouth. But if I had one in front of me rn I'd probably still finish the whole bag cos the flavor's good. Also, unpopular opinion, but the fish skin crisps overrated in my opinion. Not fishy enough and just mildly salty.

Old Chang Kee is amazing, any singaporean passing by a train station or mall, and needs a quick snack, you’ll swing by Old Chang Kee for a fried snack or curry puff. Fun Fact: Old Chang Kee did Durian Curry Puffs once for a special Curry Day 2018 event and IT TASTED SUPER GOOD like who would have thought you could cook DURIAN IN CURRY?! Old Chang Kee really is a game changer in the singapore F&B scene when it comes to snacks 😄
