Lol no they don't. Unlike Japan and Taiwan, Korea was unwilling and eventually outright refused to establish diplomatic relations with South Africa because of apartheid. South Africa actually offered "honorary white status" to Korean citizens when the two countries negotiated diplomatic relations in 1961, but Korea severed ties with South Africa in 1978 in protest against apartheid. Japan and Taiwan gladly accepted the "honorary white" status though.

You guys are misconstruing this from a Western racial dynamic perspective. East Asians traditionally preferred white skin. It has nothing to do with "wanting to be white."
