Yeah, they have the bigger navy if you just compare total ship numbers, but that's only because their navy is bolstered by lots of tugs and training ships. When you compare the number of individual types, the RN is numerically-superior in nearly every area. The RN has more escorts, subs, assault ships, support ships, and soon, more aircraft carriers. We'll maintain this edge over them in the future too; 7 Astute / 6 Barracuda, 13 Type 26 /

As i hard i love the SAS by now ts my favorite special forces but im Greek and i love the SAS but im pretty sure a European is not aloud to enter an English special forces or else i would have joined it lots of respect from Greece mate :)

As a former member of the SAS, I can confirm what Shaun has said here. Way back when I was hanging about outside the boathouse in Hereford mashing up with the lads, I was ordered to take out 6 US Navy Seals. I took them out alright, it was an order. I had to. I took them to the races, Rodriguez won on an accumulator, the fat fuck. Shaun Southam served in the Korean War and is still serving in the Ryde Sea Cadets with Alex Yemm, so respect him. He's earned it.

Absolutely. You're Britain's principal ally. We would mobilise our army and every reservist we had and move them to a staging post probably in Canada in the first instance. I think we already have a base in Canada (Suffield) with a mechanised brigade based there for training. We could move large body of troops by utilising our merchant fleet and the Royal Fleet Auxillary. Protected by your navy and ours. We are NATO partners after all and defence works both ways.

That Fucker Shaun never payed me back, but we slotted those fuckers. It took a bit of geometry, anatomy and sheer British guts. But we managed to make sure we shoved them into the Penny Slots. It's the UK, I understand some people don't know the difference between England and the UK, thanks to American media constantly saying 'English' instead of 'British', as to your question, the UK > France relationship is probably one of the best in Europe, the UK actively does large scale training operations with France.

We may not have the biggest military force but we do have some of the best if not the best soldiers in the world especially the Para's, Royal marines and also the best special forces in the world the SAS. We are one of the most operational experienced forces in the world along side the US.

yes, if the other country was the aggressor, and i don't think that they would be destroyed before we got there, if we discount nukes, because the US would take too long to mobilise its troops. nato forces (including us brits and the aussies), would arrive shortly after the us mobisised so yeah, i suppose we would help you on the ground

It is illegal under section 197 of the Army Act 1955 to pretend to be a member of the armed forces.This has been superseded by the Armed Forces Act in 2006. You're not a former member of the Special Air Service.

But I definately think we would come if seriously needed; we declared war on Germany when our ally Belgium was attacked in WW1, and again when Poland was invaded in WW2, plus we were willing to risk a massive military disaster and humiliation to reclaim the Falkland Islands, so for our greatest friend and ally, certainly!

sorry mate, they guys right, The USMC Does outnumber the BA, but then again your slightly right, britain has better trained regulars to the us army, and better rifle shots too and a better tank, only by a short tether though, the gun is more accurate, it has better armour and A TEA MACHINE! but it can do that because it loses in numbers, more time on training, not resources. 1000 ants can take down a beetle my friend. Same way as GB couldn't win against US or RU. We'd be missled first anyway.

Your right the USMC does out number the whole british military but 1 royal marine has been proven to take out 14 USMC soldiers. A regular army soldier can take out 12 regular US Army soldier's and 1 SAS Soldier can take out 6 US Navy seal's so if you work that out america vs britian the only way america would win would be if they took so many losses they would not even be able to fight the african military for years.
