Nurses most definitely should get their 20%! Having said that I think the woman complaining that she doesn't have enough food says one of her bills is to send money to family. I don't feel it is the government's responsibility to pay you enough so you can also support people who don't live, work or pay taxes in other countries.

SAVE BRITISH LIVES. SAVE THE NHS BEFORE IT GETS PRIVATISED... We have to analyse facts: Check the NHS employment statistics since 1960's its a Migrant Run system within that we deskilled our entire population and left them entitled. (1) Import Indian Doctors and Management (it makes sense Indians already manage England everywhere else) (2) Import Filipino Nurses (3) Remove all Entitled British regardless of color even Indian or Filipino British will be too lazy and entitled it something in the culture. Forget checking the NHS employment statistics these 2 Migrants are in the top 5 of Medical Care Globally 👏🏽 Facts need to be accepted. But they are retiring and dying so the system is going back to the British people, with the combo of Brexit the curtain went back on the British Public to perform we Procrastinate and Strike instead.... Adjust laws and skilled Migrants ONLY......... Import Indian Doctors and Management Import Filipino Nurses before they are all imported TO DUBAI FACT! DO IT OR FACE PRIVATISATION BOTTOM LINE SAVE BRITISH

We recruit a lot of nurses from other countries and that’s a big part of the appeal for many of them - to take care of their family. Can’t really have it both ways, wanting to pinch nurses from other countries because we’re so short but then not supporting them enough to meet their original objectives. A couple of my friends from the Philippines have since moved to the US after realising how bad the pay is here x

The People of UK must not allow the continued erosion if their NHS. Keep privatization of healthcare as far away as possible, unless they want healthFARE, unsustainable medical debt, limited choice, and worse health outcomes. PAY NURSES AND HEALTHCARE WORKERS PROPERLY!

I believe, the "under staffing" - if it is the "real" cause of the burnout, and imbalance in the pay wages vs. shifts spent at work, then allowing for more recruitment of the nurses may help ease the pressure on the currently employed nurses working overtime, overburdened and over burnt. While a decent and rational evaluation of pay wage is always a good idea, the burnout, and overtime issue should and must not be handled and resolved by a pay increase. As, the issue then is more of the work-life-balance, then of the pay wage to solve the core issue of the burnout. But, if the pay wage may be on the debate, that may also be taken up - but not without resolving the actual issues with actual corresponding solutions. Sometimes, a burnout, an overtime issue at core may not necessarily get resolved by a wage increase. Each problem seeks to have it's corresponding option of resolutions. We all have gone thru this already, in COVID. Case in example, a mental health issue at core, could not be resolved by conflicts, competition or combats - as the core issue was mental health - which needed it's own set of solutions and approach by each country. This seems like one such issue - globally nurse communities feeling burnout, overworked and seeking to have a balanced life and not a burnout!! Wage may be one of the issues. But, for the most part, this looks like some other issues intertwined - like burnout, overworked, understaffed and similar.

The issues are more profoundly than that !.. But worse "intentionally" caused by the state , actually Tories ... Like (bits, by bits), between lies , each year !... What capitalism states doing ?!. (Privatization)... Thats why we see globally more-or-less . .. Just doing some search for the capitalism ... THISE IS why TV /BBC , on UK 🇬🇧 (for exemplo ) don't show up many news , but given air time to bozo , BORIS , cover up lies ?!.. 😂 Common ...

The NHS is one of the few things about being British that makes me proud these days. The principle of free healthcare at the point of use for everyone, whether you’re homeless or comfortable, is fantastic; and how every healthcare system should be. No paperwork, no insurance, no cost of any kind aside from general taxation, is undoubtedly the right way. Fund it how it was and return it to 100% publicly owned; and it will again be the best system in the world.

It wasn't long ago i heard a report where nurses were lumped into the same group as gardeners who were outpriced to live in the places they work such as Silicon Valley. I took offense because nursing school alone is grueling working in hospitals is backbreaking and heartbreaking at the same time and although gardeners are skilled in keeping greenery alive nurses are skilled at keeping people alive!

I don't know if this is practical or if it would hurt the cause, but I think it would be inspiring to see the nurses demanding 25% raise but also maybe other things having to do with government. Why aren't they talking more about nationalization? Talking more about the ills and hazards of privatization. That is what this strike is really about. So, it isn't just about compensating nurses although that is crucial. It is about the ills and hazards of austerity policy. That is essentially what privatization is. It is national austerity policy. How about the cost of living? How does privatization relate to cost of food and energy? How about housing? How about the problems that patients are experiencing? Great job UK nurses!
@stacyhott1031 Жыл бұрын
Nurses sign on for this! They forgot what quarantine means then wanna complain. COVID patients were supposed to be houses separate from hospitals. Remember tents they threw out and laughed about? That's what they were for! Inflation is to blame for cost of living, and they wanna live in the most expensive city. Nurses should be paid according to cities cost of living though!
