Great video. You can see why Healey Mills was busy at this time

Pacers are underrated, while they might be slow and uncomfortable, they worked and got you from point A to point B. I preferred them over the 150s

Amongst all that Petroleum traffic, there was a stand out moment for me. Those Cawoods coal hoppers look so good behind the Sub-sector class 56 (@5.51).

A lot of the freight traffic seen here is history sadly.......i have a friend who is a driver at wakefield and they only have around a dozen weeks on the drivers link....considering they are the rump of Healy Mills that tells you how much work has been lost.....

Great film. The station has been improved a lot. Pacers no longer about. Grand Central trains call there as well, or they did until lockdown

Wowzer 37418 with Gordon Grigg on it, i hope you know how bloody rare that is ive only seen one phot of it with those plates on i think at Stanlow, and ive never seen it on film, i think it was put on for a inspiration saloon jolly for Shell big wigs and it should have been taken straight off and the "Shell" plates put on but was delayed for a week or something, V rare capture well played

Yes, i read somewhere at the time it was re-named for a supposedly special occasion. I thought then it was lucky to get it still applied on a normal working.

Ah, Wakefield Kirkgate, one of my local(ish) stations. Was an unkempt, windswept hole back then, now it's had a coat of poaint & some improvements, but still windswept, still one of the best local locations for freight workings though.

It was as lonely place to lurk and film but at least it was fairly busy....now i think there's not much non passenger workings left to see?.....

Never expected to see a "branch saver". Just goes to show, don't judge a video by it's cover!!

With railways i tended to film a bit of everything....but like an idiot i didn't with buses!

I see you got 141113, the sole (I think) example of the class with the Voith hydraulic transmission.

I was just pleased to film one, they were on their last legs even then!

It was & was the best if the class. Saw that hauling a dead 142 up the hill from Wakefield Westgate & still hit top speed!!!

@@SoiBuakhaoRoutemasterbus It was very rapid especially for a Pacer. I think it was down to the lighter weight of the 141 & how it had been setup.
