This is one of my specialised subjects!! I remember a panel a little older than this one, but same kind of design, that had a solenoid that used to shoot out to prevent you physically rotating the key from TEST to ARM if the zones were not clear! Gonna watch more of your videos later...! I have some old PIR videos on my channel if you're interested (I have some more old detectors since, must edit them sometime!)

I have a similar one to this in my house however no power going to it wondering if anyone would have any knowledge on how to fix it?

You had a buzzer connected to the panel. In a realistic installation, would there be a buzzer like that connected? If so, would it be installed elsewhere in the house so someone would hear it, or would you normally just have the alarm panel's internal speaker and then a bell or siren outside the house?

I got given one of these panels in the 80s and my aunt also had the same panel installed at her house, installed 1983 with a motorised siren. The panel I had had a sticker saying 'Pulsating audibles means fire alarm'. It did have a fault though which is how I came to have it as it had been removed.

Thats interesting, I wonder how it was wired to produce a fire alarm sound. Shame it had a fault though, these are really cool panels.

I don't know how the fire alarm part of it worked. One thing I have just remembered is that the flash rate of the internal LED mounted on the circuit board did change when the time delay was adjusted. Slower for a longer delay. It may have used a counter to count the pulses.

Thats is a BS80 super, the BS80 did NOT have an internal speaker. It also had an optional board called the TX40, it stopped the bell after x minutes and if it could, it would re arm the panel. It mounted on 2 posts that you fit to the microswitch bolts. It did not have a "Fire" zone.

That looks cool. If you are ever interested in some panels from the states, let me know. I may trade you something..

im unsure as to wether A and G made these panels or not. I thought the british standards company did but maybe it was A and G.

Yep I’ve just removed one from a customers house today with the manual inside it. It said A&G security electronics on the manual.

@@alarmsnstuff4351 very soon after filming this video the voltage regulator gave up on this panel. I thought it was the end but I managed to source a new regulator on ebay and I bought it and fitted it and it works again so i guess it was just a lucky fix as my panel wasnt smoking or anything. And sorry no its not for sale as its installed in my shed (not the summerhouse that still has the optima) I need to do a video on it.
