"As a fully badged member of the RAF" unusual phrase
@danielseaburg97632 ай бұрын
Yeah mate because only one badge exists in the RAF, right? lmao
@overthewebb15 күн бұрын
I think what he means by it, fully badged meaning after passing his training to get into the RAF properly and was no longer a trainee, but was now working as a real rank RAF person. So a full member of the RAF who could no longer get kicked out for failing training or VW. During any military training in the UK you get to wear a cap, with no badge at all usually. After passing training you get given a Cap with the badge of the RAF in this case or any military forces badge in other military
@jman658715 күн бұрын
@@overthewebb what? That’s not true! You get a cap badge on issue of all uniform. Trainees arnt walking around with unbadged headdress. The term ‘fully badged’ is normally used by SF as you can be attached to An SF unit but are not ‘fully badged’ until completion of selection/training. But just normal RAF. Not the case.
@overthewebb15 күн бұрын
@@jman6587 They don't get a full cap an badge until fully qualified though. Trainees are walking round with no badge on their heads on their uniforms. I suggest you watch some vids online of UK army training for example. Normal army regiments they are given a camouladged baseball cap with no badge on during training. The marines are given a plain green oldschool cap with no badge during training. The paras are given a plain green cap with no badge during training. I'm assuming the RAF is the same. It's all available to watch on youtube
@overthewebb15 күн бұрын
@@jman6587 I should say as well it may just be a term used by all UK military to mean once you have passed full training in any unit in the UK military.
