Wonderful place and wonderful people. 99.7 % of civilian population of Western Countries are COWARDS completely beaten down and hood-winked by the SYSTEM.. NOT THESE WONDRFUL PEOPLE. VIBRANT and FULL of LIFE PEOPLE.

The timeline mentioned - 1960 to 1969 - is wrong. British troops weren't deployed in NI until 1969.

Early 1970's. Oldpark area. Etna Drive. Really bad days. Really bad area. Close to anarchy. One end of street burning the other end of street. Bad. Bad. Bad days.

Agreed. So casual walking into the mill ( Flax street) one guy takes his mag off while still outside unbelievably, we were there in 76 and we moved far quicker than that.

Yea. Dog is now Doggo and it wasn't the kneecapping. The locals were expert masters of that particular art - even the proverbial dogs on Etna Drive/ Brompton Park.

@@coolmacatrain9434 indeed they were, however this video is not from 1969. The title is wrong. This would be mid 70s due to the 1968 pattern dpm uniforms and the m69 flak jackets

@@MildMartian Virtually all the infantry were wearing blue then. The move to khaki took place in the 80/90s. Only the Fusiliers and the POW Division resisted.
