@@lydiavanasselt1462 Lydia, ik ben ook Nederlands, lees even het boek van Teun van de Keuken door, als je wilt. Tony Chocolonely is bedacht/begonnen door Teun van de Keuken. Engelsen kunnen zijn naam niet uitspreken, dus Teun werd Tony. Choco-lonely werd 'lonely' omdat het de enige was die 100% slaaf vrij zou zijn. Maar het bedrijf gaat nu verder, zonder Teun, en die zijn toch chocolade aan het kopen van slaafboeren. Cacao-bonen *groeien namelijk niet in Nederland, Lydia* en de chocolade wordt gemaakt door slaven in andere landen. Kinderslaven plukken de nootjes voor de Nutella, daar zit ook slavernij in. Tony Chocolonely is nu bezig met de verkoop en richt zich niet meer zoveel op dat slaaf-vrije. Dat is heel slecht, want het *doel* was juist om slaaf-vrij-chocolade te maken.

Als je op hun site kijkt zal je zien dat ze JUIST heel veel bezig zijn met wie de cacaoboeren zijn. Ze noemen zichzelf niet meer 100% slaafvrij omdat ze zelf vinden dat je dat nooit met zekerheid kan zeggen. Het is hun doel om dat uiteindelijk wel met zekerheid te kunnen zeggen. Hun doel is overigens ook dat niet alleen zij, maar ook andere chocoladeverkopers (bijv. Milka) serieus bezig zijn met de herkomst van hun producten. Ze werken tevens ook samen met de cacaoboeren om hub situatie te verbeteren, zodat bijvoorbeeld hun kinderen gewoon naar school kunnen en niet op de boerderij hoeven te werken. Dit doen ze door standaard meer dan het verplichte bedrag te betalen aan deze boeren en ze veiligheid te garanderen door minimaal 5 jaar met ze te werken. Zo weten deze boeren dat ze winst in nieuw apparatuur kunnen steken omdat ze sws een aantal jaar met Tony's werken en dus werk zullen hebben. A.k.a. Tony's doet nog steeds waar ze voor staan, ze zijn nu alleen wat populairder geworden, en dat is alleen maar positief want hun visie moet gedeeld worden

Bij oliebollen zijn de verschillen wat mij betreft nog groter (supermarkt bol vs een verse kraambol vs een opgewarmde kraambol), en bij pannekoeken iets minder groot (maar nog steeds fors :-)) Ik denk dat we het er over eens kunnen zijn dat vers toch veruit te prefereren valt, en al helemaal waar het op bakproducten aankomt. Gek genoeg vind ik het bij stamppotten nog het minst verschillen, dat is dan ook mijn meest gekozen magnetron maaltijd. Misschien omdat opgewarmde stamppotten sowieso vaak lekker zijn, en de magnetron stamppot smaak daar wat mij betreft nog het meest mee overeenkomt.

As a Dutchie, I would say that you've gotten some great Dutch foods! But yes, you do eat cheese like that 😂 apart from putting them onto bread in slices, we chop the cheese and just eat it

Whaa i know where all of this was shot. It is Rijswijk in the Netherlands. I actually lived in the appartmentbuilding that looks at the canal wich is called "de Vliet". The street is called "Huis te Hoornkade", the brigde is called "de Hoornbrug". In summer i sat there in the mornings when people in cano took a trip over the canal. And the shopping area is called "in de bogaard" Rijswijk is realy close to the hague and Delft. I hope you had a good stay.
