'Schedule' is a good word that British, and Americans say differently. British use an 'SH' sound that originated from French influence while Americans use the 'SK' sound that is in keeping with the word's original language, Greek.

Now my accent is mixed and it's only just recently did I realise that I like British English pronunciation much more than American. After meeting Lucy here on YT and hearing her beautiful accent I felt in love with British English.

What an amazing lesson🤩. Two of my favorite teachers in one place. I'm over the moon. Since I started learning English, I've been inclining more toward the American accent, even though we generally use British English in my country, because I want to go to the U.S. At some point, I began to think I'd been pronouncing some words the wrong way. Now I realize that I was just pronouncing them the British way😄. Thank you so much for this enlightenment. Looking forward to more of these wonderful lessons.

American English is rhotic, that’s why r is pronounced. And the sound you hear when Americans pronounce ‘water’ for instance, is called flap. Much as I enjoy and value Lucy’s videos and recommend them and you can see and hear Lucy knows how to teach, Marina’s videos are skipping grammar rules and she ignores so many of them. She cannot explain rules and makes up her own to prove what she wants to convey. There are other channels (like Lucy’s, for instance) to learn English. To be honest, I don’t understand phenomenon of Marina’s video, as she’s so ignorant about rules, teaching skills etc.
