American English is rhotic, that’s why r is pronounced. And the sound you hear when Americans pronounce ‘water’ for instance, is called flap. Much as I enjoy and value Lucy’s videos and recommend them and you can see and hear Lucy knows how to teach, Marina’s videos are skipping grammar rules and she ignores so many of them. She cannot explain rules and makes up her own to prove what she wants to convey. There are other channels (like Lucy’s, for instance) to learn English. To be honest, I don’t understand phenomenon of Marina’s video, as she’s so ignorant about rules, teaching skills etc.
