I'd heard of this a long time ago but was starting to doubt my memory. Suppression of a truth which isn't shameful, is something altogether more sinister and I'm delighted to have found and subscribed to this site. Looking forward to going through the rest of the content, assuming I'm not struck down with monkeypox! Ian

I've known the statue of Abraham Lincoln in both locations it has stood in Manchester, and so first learned a little about the millworkers campaign against slavery in the mid 1980s. Fast forward 35+ years, and during lockdown I sneaked out of town to go walking with a friend in the hills near Rochdale. As we walked along the long cobbled road enjoying some lovely views, we wondered how and why anyone might have built such a finely fashioned lane out where there were just a few farms to connect. Well that's a question that your film has answered for me, so thanks very much - I'll have to revisit and be more appreciative of those who made it in light of this new knowledge!
