I haven’t listened yet. But if you go to another country to live you should integrate into that culture by mixing with the natives, building friendships and relationships. You should find out what the native people value when it comes to social etiquette. I know manners may not seem like a huge deal but many cultures have differences in what they see as polite or rude. And it goes a long way when forming stereotypes. We all do it. What is seen as confidence and go getting can be seen as arrogant and pushy by others. And having worked in retail for two decades, for a very multicultural outlet that serves a diverse group of people, and as someone who likes to observe human interactions, well I can see how cultural differences can impact interactions and lead to actual bigotry. Which causes huge social problems in societies. It takes time for people to settle into a new type of tribe made up of many. The more you add the harder it is. That’s why I think if you value your society these things need to be done slowly and with great care. Mass migration always ends in disaster for at least one of the groups. People don’t like to give power away. Or even share.
