How do we learn about trans teens? Hmmm…. Should we talk to trans teenagers, or their love ones, or people who directly work with them? Nah, that would be too sensible.

It’s just a passing fad. Years ago kids were beat up for being gay. Now you’re not cool if you’re straight. Girls have always run in packs and all had to do the same as their friends.😮

Interesting appraisal by Alan Hudson but I don‘t think he‘s entirely honest: for starters he confuses his premisses somewhat by talking of a fascist sympathiser facing some kind of home eviction which issue if at all really relevant is then quickly left entirely! Then he brings the abandoned tram by its communist party motorman and then the confusing matters of whether or not labour and/or communist party leaders wanted to take official action or not, and I understand probably not. He cites the communist party and of its home base of Russia as though it was a paragon of virtue - which many did think - but that was before George Orwell‘s observations were made known. Popular opinion did side with the Republican Government of Spain against Franco‘s military insurrection but little did it know of internal politics of that country eg the murder of a highly respectedright wing member of Spanish parliament Calvo Sotello answering the door at his home by government agents, an assassination taken as the last straw by Spanish army circles and an excuse to rise up against the ruling left wing government there. He talks disparagingly of fascist attitudes in Mosley‘s party where probably many thought other parties weren‘t doing enough for the country and who just loved their country…certainly many were unwittingly naive and wanted more done to bring an end to unemployment…and even the Independent Labour Party and eG Fenner Brockway had spoken well of Mosley and his recommendations dismissed by his ministerial superiors causing him to resign to form his New Party (which wasn‘t ever called the New Fascist Party of GB btw). Mosley certainly had his faults and was both ambitious and impatient and no doubt at all that he would be dictatorial! Hudson also talks of the Jewish population as though they were hard done by…and not unlike the Bangladeshis…Many Jewish people would be thankful for their asylum in Britain and if they were communistic in belief why were they in Britain? As for the Irish both speakers talk of the “sweated labour of the Irish” as though Britain was guilty of committing some injustice…The Irish Free State existed why should they be in England and not in their own country? They were active in their IRA activities - not the Irish government of course - but why criticise a country that gives work and exile? And in the coming war against fascism the Irish would remain neutral, and none of the bs about Irish volunteers in the British Army… And in Britain there was a market for Irish exports… Has Alan Hudson read Frederick Mulally’s little book on Fascism in Britain written in the 1930s? When a very young teenager I came across a copy which I bought at a second-hand bookshop in South London and it made a life-long impression upon me. Mosley was a strange figure, and lost his aim. I saw his Trafalgar Square rally of Europe a Nation, heard his speech, noted his personal pronunciation of the word “capitalistic” accentuating the second vowel rather than the fourth, and even felt a little sorry for him warding off the arms of many who followed him at very close quarters all the way to Charing Cross Station court precincts and especially noting his limp - the origins of which at the time I was ignorant - and thinking he had been aggressed. The original left-wing expression in Spanish ¡ No pasarán ! is better translated as “They shall not pass!” which to right-wing anti Republican Spaniards became a joke, they saying ‘but they did pass!’ Also strange the absence of any mention that of the Jewish exiles in the East End none came from fascist Spain, mostly from Eastern Europe. A little reading of the history of that country might find something in common of most countries including Britain’s. He could have mentioned the case of Austria that although Austro-fascist the mass exodus of Austrian Jews including that of Freud himself RIP came only after the Anschluss take-over by Austrian Nazis and that even a renowned Austrian Socialist Karl Renner voted in favour of Hitler’s take-over rather than assassinated Dollfuss’s successor Schussnig. Lastly two points on the Cable Street affair: ( i) the reported version I have read gave credit to the police chief I/c of the failure of its effort to ensure the safe passage of Mosley’s fascists and his reporting this to Mosley and recommending Mosley to give way and abandon his wish to pursue with his March…with the result that Mosley agreed and gave instruction to his people to march away elsewhere (ii) that a result of the Cable Street fiasco was the Home Office ruling against the public adornment of political uniforms ie black shirts etc - which I think was a stroke of enlightenment on the part of the government of the day and credit ought to be made of it! As for immigration just take a good look at the state of London today! Post scrtum addenda: In point of fact as regards Ireland and the Irish, Mosley got on very well them, lived there when out of favour in England, took the Irish side over the Black and Tans, might even have met Skorzeny on his farm or down at a local pub in Ireland…to talk of the IRA Sabotage in England in 1939 campaign in league with the Gestapo especially in Coventry on 25th August 1939….When did Neville declare war on the Nazis?

So well said as a rebuff at the end, Claire Fox!! We need to stop the 'this must be allowed or suicide will follow' thread that hangs over this discussion (in the wider world) like the sword of Damacles. And yes, social contagion is a huge contributor to what's happening with young people currently. And I felt like the point about porn was very well made. This is distorting the interaction between boys and girls and having a big impact on how girls view themselves and the expectations placed on them as far as interacting with the opposite goes. Imo.

One phrase describes Sylvia Pankhurst - 'Useful Idiot' - just like all the other Communists!! WSPU = Domestic Terrorists The Myth of Female Oppression came from Engels and John Stuart Mill (who shared another man's wife and was infected with her misandry) The Victorians were not anti-women, they were rabidly anti-man, courtesy of the Temperance Movement and the campaigns against Venereal Disease. Wealthy women did not take part in a ...'broader programme for social emancipation' - Pankhurst wanted the restoration of the Parliamentary Franchise for wealthy women; which she got in 1918 founded on the blood of over 2 million men.

Matt Goodwin got it right, but Frank Furedi explained why. Politicians are responsible mostly for infrastructure projects and management, yet few have any Business or STEM knowledge to speak of, so cannot make any judgement themselves: they live in a vacuum. Taxing wealth 'created' by inflation would discourage work and wealth creation even more. What the young need is opportunities to learn useful skills, and use them for wealth creation. Too many get degrees that make them less employable!

Çamilles position that men exclusively do the hardest, dirtiest most dangerous jobs is wrong, because it overlooks that being pregnant, childbirth, caring for children and elderly are inherently incredibly dangerous, carry responsibility for the survival of the vulnerable from minute to minute, often in a precarious situation financially, and also require you to clean up a hell of a lot of dirt continuously, not least excrement and vomit, let alone keeping everything generally clean all the time, from food to the environment, so you and your vulnerable loved ones survive another day and dont become sick and die. It takes nothing from men or women to acknowledge and respect and value mutual contributions to family and society. If anyone cares to look at statistics for womens health, risk of illness, disease, injury and death from controlling their fertility or indeed not controlling it and spending their lives pregnant, giving birth and then using their bodies nutrients to support their offspring at the cost of their own, you would see that just by the nature of having a female body there is a continuous danger.

This all comes from the universities The universities where the vile Neo Marxists have built their nest of ideology designed to undermine our society...They know to undermine a nation state you first must undermine the cohesion creating structure know as the family.... As every loving parent knows the child is the heart of the family making them now a primary target for these vile ideologues and the millions of activists they have created over the length of the long march..Do not think for one second this acceleration and support for child dysphoria is some kind of natural phenomenon... Do transsexuals think they should be first on the lifeboats? When the ship is going down, it’s adult human females and children into the lifeboats first. Not men. Not homosexuals. Not bisexual men. Not transvestite men. Not transsexual men. Not intersex men. Not queer men. Women and children go first, men protect women from danger, a man in any garb with any surgery is not a woman, and vice versa. When the ship is going down it’s women, and children first. Not men. A “Yes” from a trans person to this question exposes the seriousness of their delusion, and “No” exposes that they know they are not women. So which is it?

I think it's important to distinguish between "Culture Wars" and legitimate debate about cultural issues. These issues do matter. And it makes sense to discuss them, and reach some sort of democratic settlement on them. It becomes a "Culture War" when you're trying to get one over on the other team. When you're deliberately trying to antagonize or demoralize your opposition by capturing new ground and further politicizing culture.

"no hope for a better life" is the reason for revolution. i'm an american hotel owner living in southern oaxaca. the local people are stuck in an environment where there is no hope to get ahead. their entire income is not enough to pay for their existence. why? it's a communist system with the "haves" keeping their foot on the "have nots". go north to the usa and you have unlimited opportunity based on how bad you want it. being successful is not hopeless, it's where opportunity is based on a system that rewards being smart and ambitious.

This is the all a very predictable outcome of the proliferation and normalisation of pornography. Having every man permanently hooked up to a completly free network of illicit material. Normalisation of fetishism and violent sexual role play. Huge majority of men now hypersexualised. Marry Whitehouse warned about this back in the 80's. But she was dismissed as prudish Christian standing in the way of a liberal eutopia. The problem with believing all victims is that those falsely accused all become a new victim which has a serious effect on their lives. Injustice can be a source of deep pain and anguish.

This was a great discussion. So many facets and possible viewpoints identified and discussed. Both the panelists and audience making all very thoughtful and respectful contributions to the discussion. I didn't agree with everyone's point of view but that in no way diminished the value of the discussion, perhaps it enhanced it. I love it when people with different opinions get together and in an atmosphere of complete respect for one another can listen and reflect and discuss - seems to be a dying art in the age of soundbites and sensationalism, where the more offended someone claims to be the more of an audience they seem to attract. I especially liked Heather Brunskell-Evans' contributions, she was the star for me.
