Hi Martin, My Grandfather was also in North Africa picking up broken tanks. He then went off to the Italian campaign. 46th Division, 1st Army REME.

As did my Grandfather. Staff Sergeant in the Reme, spent most of the war in the desert.

My great grandfather was there he was in Kings Dragoon Guards driving Marmon Harringtons.
