I had a similar experience. My first born was 4 weeks Prem, I had an emergency C section and he stopped breathing in front of us. They got him back and so went 2 weeks of up’s and downs in NICCU. My husband would break down and I’d be ok….then I’d break down and he’d comfort me. It was a rollercoaster. He is now 20 years old, and the light of my life. I had 2 more boys after, both Prem but perfect. Every day you’ll heal from your trauma…..I promise. Just talk about your experience to work through it. Sending love.

I had a natural birth with my first two and plan to get the epidural with the 3rd! Most videos I watch people still lean towards going natural even though they’ve done both. It’s reassuring for me to hear this side of it because neither of my natural labors have been my favorite 😅

The dangers of induction for added stress on Mama and baby and medically interfering with that sacred connection during birth are so serious. They do so little to inform us of that. I hope she’s doing ok. I know how scary that must be. I had a placental abruption and my son’s heart rate dropped after my epidural. Similar story, I was at an 8. My body even was wanting to push. But they rushed me for a code red emergency C section. Luckily, he was ok. But I’m still traumatized. And I’m sure the recovery would be really hard with two little boys running around wanting to love on you.

Pitocin (the induction medicine) causes placental abruptions. Unnecessary inductions rob women of beautiful healthy birth processes. So sorry this happened to you! Your body did not fail you, the doctors did. So glad she’s healthy now! Induction comes with horrible risks and side effects.

I had two inductions because I was overdue both times, and they both went fine. You might only hear bad stories because those people want to talk about them and the people who were induced and are fine don’t think to talk about it. “Hearing” stories isn’t a good way to make a decision about a medical decision.

@@Someofmyfaves there are definitely stories of success which are great to hear, but after too many close friends had horrible experiences, I did a little bit of own research and found that inductions carry the highest risk of emergency c-section than going into labor spontaneously and also had more complications both vaginally and cesarean. Sooo yeah lol
