Haven’t heard this since around 2008 because it was listed as “Toy Soldier” in……the files I had…..but my cousin heard it and was like, “This isn’t Toy Soldier. Toy Soldier starts like, ‘smash on the radio bet I penned it’…” and I just stared at her because what does that even mean?? I had literally never heard it before. Anyway, years passed and I could never find THIS SONG again because, as my cousin pointed out…this was in fact, NOT Toy Soldier. 2022 and the mystery is finally solved! Had to google the 5 lyrics I remembered. (“Could you pass my shorts?” for those who are curious.)

With Kevin, they had a whirlwind romance and got married 2 months later. He wasn’t an ex until when they got divorced 2 years later in late 2006. Also, quite telling that she did this demo with Pharrell, who is mostly Justin’s friend and collaborator. Even ‘Slave 4 U’ and ‘Boys’ were made because Justin asked Pharrell for a favour (to collab with his girlfriend).
