I feel like she wrote this for herself as she's hella underrated
@visualhatefvck2 жыл бұрын
Definitely makes sense but on the other hand, there's still no Debut album and not really much material out. She kinda gave up on being a bigger artist. Maybe she likes it as some kind of an underground artist.

So people are quick to say she wrote for Rihanna but all that goes out the window when Demi gets the same help. Now its "co wrote". This is obviously her song because this is obviously a reference track.

Artists get credits for a lot of reasons. If Demi or Rihanna had a conversation with her and she turned it into a song, they would get credit
@s3eriousbl9ck262 жыл бұрын
@@Britney_Xposed that's beside the point. Notice the difference in comments between both of the videos. I also have another comment showing the articles whr demi lied about the creative process and the other is a different person that was apart of the creative process being cryptic about how to they came up with it. My issue is everyone being quick to talk shit about Rhianna for receiving help but make excuses for Demi who went as far as lying about the creative process just to portray a deeper connection to the song.

Oh I don’t disagree with your point. I’m just saying, Beyonce got credit for irreplaceable because she added runs. Singers get credits for the weirdest reasons

I tried to talk to my piano I tried to talk to my guitar Talked to my imagination Confided into alcohol I tried and tried and tried some more Told secrets 'til my voice was sore Tired of empty conversation 'Cause no one hears me anymore A hundred million stories And a hundred million songs I feel stupid when I sing Nobody's listening to me Nobody's listening I talk to shooting stars But they always get it wrong I feel stupid when I pray So, why am I praying anyway? If nobody's listening Anyone, please send me anyone Lord, is there anyone? I need someone, oh Anyone, please send me anyone Lord, is there anyone? I need someone I used to crave the world's attention I think I cried too many times I just need some more affection Anything to get me by A hundred million stories And a hundred million songs I feel stupid when I sing Nobody's listening to me Nobody's listening I talk to shooting stars But they always get it wrong I feel stupid when I pray Why the fuck am I praying anyway? If nobody's listening Anyone, please send me anyone Lord, is there anyone? I need someone, oh Anyone, please send me anyone Oh, Lord, is there anyone? i think it's so weird how demi said in interviews she wrote this song and even has songwriting credits when she was given the complete song and didn't change anything aside from vocals. i get how this song matches what she was going though at the time very well and it feels very personal to her, i jujst think it's dishonest to sit there and say you wrote something you didn't. if she told her story and the writers did the song with her in mind, she should say that.

Writers can get credits for many reasons including theme, they could tell other writers lyrics or a story. They get credit for that

This may be controversial take but IMO it’s accurate - Bibi is an artist and Demi is a singer. Key difference. Bibi sings as an expression of her art (writing.) Demi is a singer in pop music. The reason I say this is artists know how much of their soul it takes to create the art - if Demi was an artist the first word out of her mouth would have been Bibi or thank you Bibi or thank you to the artist who wrote this. But the singer will sing and the record company will spin up the lie.

@@lofihifi792this is how it is in the industry. Demi writes most of her songs and sometimes when she’s in a writing session with a cowriter the writer will record the demo just to see what the song will sound like if the main artist doesn’t record the demo. Also Demi’s recent album is a rock album and she wrote all the songs on it.

It’s Demi’s story. Artists get credit even if they just give words. Ir if they tell a story and if the writers use it in the songs. Then they get credit for that

@@Britney_Xposed If you know Bibi I promise you this is her story - leant to Demi. It's good that Bibi can get her bag but any self respecting artist would give credit where it is due. Speaks to her character - and same for Bibi - she sits in the shadows and isn't loud about the facts - both showing who they are - and both live on opposite ends of morality.

@@lofihifi792you are seriously exaggerating. Demi said this song was from a writing retreat she attended for her album. I even remember her saying somewhere that she didn’t really connect to the song until after hearing the recording or she had recorded it herself. There are literally 5 writers on the song besides Bibi and Demi, so even if Demi added only a few words, it’s not as if Bibi wrote the entire thing herself either. Bibi IS given credit, Demi doesn’t have to mention her when she is talking about her connection to the song. She might not even be aware of Bibi’s attachment to the song enough to mention her specifically out of all the writers. She only ever said that the song tells her story, not that she wrote it herself. Demi has literally never been shy about co-writing her songs or not writing at all. For instance, she doesn’t have any writing credits for her song Tell Me You Love Me, she explained that she just connected to the song when she could have just changed a few things and had credits. Perhaps Bibi recorded this demo after Demi added her parts but still didn’t feel very connected to the song and Demi felt connected after hearing it from Bibi. You literally have no idea what the process was but you are jumping into all these conlusions, this does say a whole lot about you too, you know.
