I was supposed to go to this game but was in bed with a stinking hangover.Fell asleep and woke up just in time for results coming in on grandstand was double sick when I had missed the game.Used to go every week on the ALVA and district great days .Still never been to Rugby park.

Wee Tommy McLean was one of the best crossers of a ball i ever seen, he cold nutmeg a centipede at times, used to love him crossing for big DJ

I remember being at this game and to be honest Killie just weren't that bad. They kept trying and just came up against Rangers on a day everything just seemed to go right.

Rangers were very inconsistent at this time. They could go out and destroy someone on week and lose to a relatively weak team the next.

@Britonbear Indeed. My old PE Teacher from Loudoun Academy , defender Jim McFadzean played for Killie in the 60's title winning era. He should have come out of retirement for this game!
