For me, Home Free has it all. Incredible versitile talents. Vocals, harmonies, percussion, and to boot, they can be serious or funny, whatever it takes. And theire personalities are shining through it all.

If you aren’t yet thinking they’re amazing, check out “Brothers In Arms”, “Helplessly Hoping”, or our American patriotic song (same tune as “God Save the Queen”). These are some of their best. If those don’t knock your socks off, then I won’t bother you anymore. These guys are the real deal! They’re genuinely and superbly talented. They’re extremely versatile, as well. They don’t always sing just Country music.

Maybe everybody sings "Auld Lang Syne" on New Year's Eve, but NOBODY does it like Home Free. Thank you for doing this (it's flawless), and Happy New Year y'all! You might like Home Free's covers of Shakira's "Try Everything," Dierk's Bentley's "Woman Amen," or Huey Lewis' "Working for a Living." Their cover of Dire Straits "Brothers in Arms" is stunning.

You may not have known this when you watched it the first time, but the man on the far left of the screen (no beard) is the beatboxer. Whenever he joins them and makes that 5 part harmony possible, it adds another dimension to their vocals.

That was so lovely. It shows what they can actually sound like. 1st:Tim Faust-bass; 2nd:Austin Brown-tenor;3rd: Rob Linquist-bearded guy(tenor?);4thAdam Chance-baritone; 5th:Adam Rupp- world-class beat-boxer. I think I've got that pretty close. They can all sing, as you saw. You didn't get a very good start. They have a ton of good songs. Try End Of The Road, Mayday, Ring Of Fire, Brothers In Arms. There is absolutely NOTHING to dislike about Home Free or any of their songs! These guys are the real deal & the whole package. They're incredibly talented individually but put their voices & harmonies together, they're phenomenal! They're kind, humble, great to their Home Fries, love to entertain us by being serious or goofy but with either, their talent never suffers! Hi guys, Great reaction! I'd much prefer an honest opinion over pandering to what you think people want to hear, so thank you. One of the great things about Home Free is they have a wide variety of song styles. I suggest you pick songs that you already know and enjoy to get a feel for the way they honor the original artist, while adding their talented arrangement, rich harmonies and unbelievably realistic vocal percussion to it. I think you'll enjoy their take on "Castle on the Hill" (Ed Sheeran), "Take Me Home Country Roads" (John Denver), and for a taste of their goofy side I suggest their "Sea Shanty Medley." I look forward to hearing your reactions to these or any ones you choose! 😃 Edit: I just smashed the 👍 button and subscribed 😁

Auld Lang Syne is a much better example of Home Free's typical work than 'The Gambler', an early, uninspired arrangement, or 'Go Tell It On The Mountain', in which they are essentially backup singers for Texas Hill. Suggested covers John Mayer's 'In The Blood' ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2K3oqN-a7WNeNE ), Zac Brown Band's 'Colder Weather' ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/h6WznIWhi8-smqM ), and the Percy Sledge original covered by Michael Bolton in the 90's 'When A Man Loves A Woman' ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y6HcmIOjm6yErLc ).

So I skimmed through the comments on here before typing anything, and wow! I know Pentaholics and Home Fries have been known to take a swipe now and then, both at reactors and each other, but I've never really seen it myself. Most fans agree that both groups are top of the a capella game (because that's fact, let's face it), and most fans appreciate both groups. I watch Home Free reactions too, but not as much as PTX. HF are phenomenal vocalists, I just prefer PTX. No reason.** Both groups tick most if not all of the boxes, it's just my personal taste. But to criticise someone for not liking them (both PTX and HF), and to disparage the other group is nuts. People need to get a grip. Sheesh. Sorry. I just don't get it people are mean. Your reaction was great 👍. Not surprised that BP2 gave it a 10 as I know he loves a good bass voice. And BP1's 8.8 was honest and made sense. It sits at a round 9 for me. For context, as a Pentaholic I can freely admit that even THEY have a few songs in the 8's for me, so it's not always about the group, it's the arrangement of the song for me. Brothers in Arms is amazing by the way, for a future HF reaction. Sorry for the little soapbox rant, but I honestly don't get the hostility that pops up. 😒 ** I actually do have a personal reason for preferring PTX over HF, but I'll save it for another time if you're interested.

@EnderOllie 4 Don't let it out you off, some people just feel they need to put everyone else down. This is nothing, we gave a bad review to a K-Pop band and oh boy!!! Another interesting and MOR choice for Home Free. It's a bit higher MOR, true. But there is still much better out there. Also you both disappointed me this time. Neither one of you picked up on the missing beat-boxing. You will find that on the more reverent songs, they drop the beat-box and do straight harmonies. I'm with BP1's assessment. 8.8 is respectful and fair. I urge you to WAIT on the "fun" songs from Home Free until you've checked the song I've previously mentioned. "End of the Road", Home Free's cover of a Boyz2Men song. Definitely NOT country.

Not gonna subscribe yet, as the jury is still out on you two. For this review you get a 7.0. Many words were spoken but nothing truly enlightening or critical to show you have an ounce of musical background/ knowledge on which you base your non-approval of the group. The fact that you have a split decision on this one took you over 6.9.
@BritPopsReact3 жыл бұрын
@Vinnie Blair Cheers for the honest comment Vinnie and no worries about not subscribing anyone can pop into our channel. As for your score on our reaction, that's fair enough although I am going to have to drop you a few marks of your comment score as nowhere do we claim to have any musical background/knowledge, you have not done any background checks. We are just two non musical chaps, who happen to enjoy listening to music, discovering new artists and bands and we thought it would add a little extra fun to give our own scores on hearing a song for the first time and we do not cheat and stop the decide our scores which is why we have different scores, as we have different tastes. You can as always disagree completely and give your own scores, but you also need to provide a valid summary as to why you gave the score. Everyone can say it was a 10/10, but just because they are your favourite band or artist is not enough. We score all our videos no matter the artist and no matter the song. There you go, hope that helps, we never claimed to be vocal coaches, producers or anything else, we do this for a bit of fun and some people get us and others don't. What we don't do it pretend we love everything and jump around at the high notes. Cheers for popping in and have a great 2022.
