Then the women go pay for the condoms at the register, and the clerk asks for a price check on the overhead intercom system. "Which ones, Harry?" Harry said, "Two want the sheep skins and the blonde has the extra-sensitive." All three women were embarrassed and appalled hearing that. It's such a funny episode.

A brilliant comedy in which everyone gets great lines. I think it was meant to be set in Miami/Florida and coincidentally my eldest son and I found this show on late night television as a result of flying back from Florida and not being able to sleep because of jet lag.

Either way, I applaud you!😉 Do you know who Jason, the Mr. Clean lookalike is, who does the "Real Things I've Seen As An EMT/Firefighter" videos and shorts? I think he also does the Firefighter Chronicles. He also advertises Fire Dept Coffee. Hilarious videos! Oh, I believe I saw the pops reacting to the Sophia one. To answer your question, I absolutely LOVE the Golden Girls. It's absolutely one of my favorite sitcoms of all time. I'm 49 and have been watching it since it was first on the air, and it still cracks me up. Even though I've seen every single episode and heard every single joke a gazillion times, I still bust a gut laughing. It's just a truly funny show with great characters and dialogue. It comes down to incredible writing and an amazing cast. The four actresses cast (Betty White, Rue McCallahan, Bea Arthur and Estelle Getty) were not only extremely gifted and talented in their own right, but also had incredible chemistry together, which made for a show that has stood the test of time.

Not only did I watch the original airing of the Golden Girls back in 1985 to 1992, I bought the CD sets of all of the seasons of The Golden Girls.. Although all of the 4 Leading Actresses on the show have passed away, The Golden Girls continues to be aired in re-runs now everyday on Cable TV on channels such as The Hallmark Channel and other tv cable channels

I think it was on the Thursday night line-up. If I remember correctly, it was The Cosby Show, The Golden Girls, and then, either The Love Boat or Fantasy Island...but that was decades ago, so I could be wrong.

You guys need to do a videos on the Golden Girls best moments of Blanch as well as the best of Sofia. British Comedies, especially the successful ones in the US (those generally from the 70s, 80s, and 90s), seem to include a lot of comedic sexual innuendo. The character of Blanch, especially, is full of similar types of comedy. I’d be curious as to how Brits would react to especially her character.

Bea Arthur (Dorothy) and Estelle Getty (Sofia, her mother) were actually Jewish. But the network knew the country wouldn’t accept Jews, so they wrote them in as Italians.

@@Ira88881 oh nobody there's just never anything new on television at night and well Hallmark channel repeats the same stuff the golden girls, Frasier, cheers, and Reba gets boring overtime but never fear I find a way to entertain myself. I'm a crafter and love to build models so I preoccupy myself with ships and watch some real oldy goldy stuff I watch Sanford and son, all in the family, home improvement, inspector gadget, back to the future, the Poseidon adventure, titanic, etc, etc, etc. so I got every film in my film library from. Childhood to now. So yeah I'm good 😎 I'm good 😎
