@jasonellis43304 ай бұрын
Sort of. You show up at the field or car park and set up your stall out of your car. Hence the name
@WildHorizon4 ай бұрын
So it’s essentially a flea market but just care to mark the stalls?
@jackwhitbread45834 ай бұрын
We don't have flea markets in Britain so we have absolutely zero idea if its like a flea market
@JJ-dr7im3 ай бұрын
Nah. Pay your fee on the gate (buyers [peds] usually free). Park up. Open boot (ok trunk if you must) Start selling. No marked out spaces, but everyone tries to get a corner lol. I thought a flea market was arts and crafts and antiquy stuff and often indoors? (Car Boots obvs not 😂)

What's a car boot sale?
@takashiz-17313 ай бұрын
What do you think it is based on the video? It’s pretty obvious
@CorvoFG2 ай бұрын
You load all the crap you have at home into the trunk of your car along with some fold out tables. You then drive to a field somewhere (pre designated) and pay someone £5 or £10 for a spot. You put up the tables and start unloading your unwanted crap onto them. As you’re doing this, the human equivalent of the vulture will arrive and start picking over the stuff. They’ll even start rooting through the trunk, if you haven’t got everything out. Then you stand there for a few hours, selling all this junk before you pack up, buy an overpriced hotdog on the way out and go home. Hopefully with more money and less crap than when you went in.

@JJ-dr7im3 ай бұрын
@Fau. Lots? Now that's an American word!! No, they're held in car parks, school grounds, or fields in the countryside. Whole idea is LOTS of cars in one place, not just like one in a yard/garage sale. Usually about 100 or so cars. Always bloody early on Sunday mornings, so I never went to many lol😂
