Love Trader Joe’s! They are a comparatively small grocery shop chain in the US selling their special take on brand name products, and they also sell fresh produce and dairy products. Especially like their honey roasted peanuts and Dunker cookies which are slender crispies spiced and drizzled with icing. Good for dunking in cold milk or hot coffee.

Goodness, the headmaster is going to be crushed. He and Josh are long-time friends from school back in the day. He teases Josh in some of the videos about knowing him back when he ate mostly beige food--before his palate became refined. He seems to be one of those people who is called to his profession. Loves education--loves helping kids become their best. I have the 'everything' seasoning and I use it on things at home, rather than prepared products. Throw some on top of the guac on toast. Yum! Check out the Korean Englishman high school series introducing kids to Korean food---actually for Daz, they have a similar series with footballers.

Nope, it's a French word and definitely not pronounced Praylean
@Michael-kf7gm8 ай бұрын
@@ajeettv Trader Joe’s is an American company. Pecan pralines were introduced in New Orleans in 1727. I don’t care what the origin of the word is. It’s an AMERICAN FOOD from an AMERICAN COMPANY. It’s pronounced PRAY-LEANS!! Pecans don’t even grow in France. The U.S. produces the bulk of the world’s pecans.
@gustlightfall8 ай бұрын
@@Michael-kf7gm You can pronounce any word you like, and you have the right to dictate how pecans are pronounced, but pralines, the french made it in the 1600s, brought it in the americas, it basically just nuts covered in a sheet of caramel and still made all over the world just with different nuts, you gotta at least respect that. It's so american to say and demand, "I don't care what the world thinks it is, this is how it should be."
@Michael-kf7gm8 ай бұрын
@@gustlightfall I’m not demanding anything. But the food in question is a New Orleans favorite made by the Trader Joe’s store. If we were talking about a French chef making a French snack, then it would be pronounced their way. If I’m in London, it’s a biscuit. If I’m in Louisiana, it’s a cookie. These high schoolers are trying AMERICAN food, so pronounce it correctly. American pralines have similar ingredients to French pralines, but the end product is different. You say it’s American ignorance. I say it’s about being respectful to the culture that brought you the food. Our pralines are different. They’re candied nuts. There’s no sheet of caramel.

I love peanut butter but I hate peanut brittle. jalapeño is pronounced "ha-la-pain-yo". A Spanish "j" is pronounced like an English "h". By the way, I was in Trader Joes last weekend and I looked at the snacks and very few had chocolate and peanut butter. Whoever shopped for these snacks chose those on purpose. Trader Joes is not a budget supermarket. It's not as expensive as Whole Foods but it's not cheap.
