BRITS React to Commentator roasts but they get increasingly more brutal

For context a lot of these commentators are the teams commentators. So they do commentary for one team on their local broadcasts. So normally they take shots at the opposing team and can have a bit more bias towards the team they commentate for as they’re around them all year and are usually fans of that team. That’s why they take more shots

Perfect time for commentators roast. There was one with the Cubs vs Guardians last night that was wild lol. Cubs pitcher Smyly hung a curveball after the batter fouled off a bunch of pitches and ended with giving up a go ahead home run. The Guardians guy said "Drew Smyly want's to kill himself right now"

The last one was for Daryl Morey who was the Houston GM doing everything in his power to keep Harden happy and speaking highly of him, then Harden forced his way out of the team and after some years in Brooklyn Daryl now in Philly chose to trade for his favorite player for a second time, after a year he went out attacking Daryl calling him a snake for not offering him a five year max while Harden was on a decline which resulted in him being traded to the Clippers. The commentator was annoyed Harden attacking the man who was his biggest supporter throughout his career.

commentators can roast players to an extent here because we treat sports as entertainment, not as matters of life and death. also, addressing people by just their last name isnt really a thing over here as much.

To be fair these are team commentators so they will be biased to one side. National commentators wouldn't be talking this crazy.

These are all local sportscasters in the local arena area. Most national sportscasters would not roast these players on national broadcasts. They are supposed to stay more neutral.

Because basketball and baseball plays so many games in a season, most games are not broadcast nationally across the country on ESPN or ABC. Each team broadcasts their games in their local market. Most of these clips are from the local broadcasts where the commentators work for the team, so they are more biased and let their thoughts fly a little more. National broadcasts like you'd find on ESPN or ABC or TNT try to remain more neutral and you don't find there are as much of these types of comments.

7:45 I believe National/World Wide Broadcast should stay Unbiased while Regional Broadcasts should be totally Biased. It dosent make sense for a commentator to slander a player infront of the world but they should have their opinions about what's happening in the game, a Regional commentator should be biased seeming they're audience are the local fans and the people who are watching that broadcast are fans of that team/club.
