❤ 65yr old from USA again...Had to LOL when Daz said about BBQing hard to do in the snow. We live in Maryland, got 7 inches of snow yesterday, Hubby BBQed last night...was funny seeing our Corgi follow him out, all you could see was her head & top of back poking out of the snow 😂...Greetings to you and Gaynor from snow covered Maryland 😊❤

My last bar-b-que was a 4 day pig roast. 3 bands, camping, enough food to feed Ethiopa for a week. Had about 350 people, all in my back yard.

Get with Mr. and Mrs. H here on KZbin about setting up some barbecue stuff there in the UK. They got a smoker shipped to them and Mr. H has been putting in the work figuring out how to properly smoke a bunch of meats.

Notice, if you will he is using natural charcoal. NOT briquets. Listen to the tinkling sound like clinking of crystal glasses as he pours the charcoal in. It heats better and also has a cleaner burn so the wood you are using to smoke is the only flavoring. That also means DO NOT use lighter fluid or you have wasted your time preparing to smoke as it will keep a petroleum taste. He lives about an hour and 15 minutes from me. I am not his level but I learned what masters like him do and it only makes sense to keep it natural.

The hash dish in this video may only be found in South Carolina, but you can find bbq's like this throughout the south on any given weekend. We love it !!! 😁👍✌️

I think setting a tv in the middle of all that wouldn't work. We have a lot of big family and friends outdoor get-togethers here in the States. You won't see a tv unless it's designated as a Super Bowl party. Theres a time and a place for everything.

Best dip ever. "Angel of Death". 8 ounces Philly cream cheese, 2 ounces blue cheese, til garlic, walnuts on top, crackers. Then you do "Russian Cream". sour cream (creme fraiche) and sugar and vanilla extract. Berries. sliced chocolate and a whiskey. done. you win.

I live about 100 miles north and here where I live we use a lot of mustard based barbecue and rubs. That originally came from the German settler influence in this area. Growing up my family always barbecued a kid (goat) on the 4th of July and had a pig pickin' on New Years. Half the fun was us men and boys sitting up all night talking and taking turns rotating the pig on the spit.

This is almost how my family does it. We have a little less than this though. This food puts you to sleep too. Lol also we don't call this a bbq. We call it a cookout. Just cookout. They missing the music but probably can't play it make because of they are recording? The mrs. Is correct.. we don't usually do tv outside its music instead but the inside event like Thanksgiving and Christmas The ganes are on and it does divide the men and women. Most of the women are trying to watch movies in one room and most of the men watch the games on another. It's hard to really watch either unless something big happens because the talking is so loud.😂

"Hey" from Tampa Bay area of Florida, USA where tonight I'm freezing my butt off. Currently 32F degrees and the next four or five nights gonna be much of the same with daily high temperatures in the 50Fs. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr . . . . . Can't wait for spring time to return so I can reclaim my Floridian flip flops and shorts attire. LOL Enjoy the heck outta ya videos. Both the reaction and content creation versions. Please keep making them. I was lucky enough to try South Carolina BBQ twice and it is certainly different that other forms of BBQ. There are unique flavors that include the beef traditionally acknowledged as Texas BBQ and the pork from Southern BBQ. Down south we love our pigs ! As a collard greens lover I fell in love with the SC style of collard greens cause of the abundant types of meat simmered to add unbelievable flavor. Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmm . . . ;) Best of luck when ya get your personal BBQ. I suggest ya do a bit of research cause a few of my British friends that have invested in a BBQ have discovered that complying with certain types of food has a "twist" cause of the different UK weather. Supposedly it takes longer than it does in the USA's southern regions. Dunno this for fact, but have heard it several times from new British BBQ owners. Either way I'd suggest you'll discover all kinds of great tasting BBQ to customize to ya likens. Have fun, be safe and enjoy the heck outta ya 2025. :)

yea, lot easier to raise pigs than cattle out east I'm guessing. here in OK beef is king for sure, but I love carolina style bbq, love mustard and vinegar-based sauces.

British people really don’t understand food. That mustard is the perfect amount because it’s rendered down for hours. You’re not going to be able to taste it. It’s just like cooking with alcohol or something. It gives a different texture. it’s used as an emulsifier. not a flavor.
