I live in the Smoky Mtns, and bears are very cute until, suddenly, they're not. People have to remember that these are wild animals - don't feed them, don't approach them, if you're camping keep your food out of reach, and NEVER get close to a Mama and cubs.

Oh my goodness! They are SO cute and clumsy and GOOFY! It’s no wonder that the teddy bear is the most popular stuffed animal of all time. I have a 3 year old boxer dog named Jovie Joy, and everybody knows boxers aren’t the smartest breed, but she’s goofy and cuddly and clumsy and so funny like these bears. It’s honestly like living with a funny little cartoon character as your sidekick, and I love it! She’s our second boxer and only my second pet ever, but I don’t think I’ll ever own another breed of dog. They’re just so funny and lovable like these bears!!!

Black bears are less aggressive than brown bears. Unless, they have their cubs with them. But the more human interactions they have, the more dangerous it is for the bears, humans, and pets.

Because of idiots feeding them, many become "Problem Bears" and end up getting shot. I don't find it cute at all to treat wild bears like pets in residential areas. Then the neighbors have to deal with bears tearing up their property because one fool decided to try to make a wild animal a pet.

Bears are competition, and eat the same things we do. At least cats eat rats and protected our grain. We didn't have to share our food with them originally. Dogs perform the same functions that bears theoretically would for a fraction of the resources. Not to mention you would end up with a hunting tool/guardian that slept on the job for months straight.

We are told by wildlife specialists not to feed wildlife, but people do it all the time. The more used to people they get, the more dangerous it is. I wish people would stop this practice, as it could get the bear put down.

Koalas are not bears, they are marsupials (carry and raise their young in a pouch like kangaroos). I know they look like bears, cute as heck too.
