I know this is only since 2020, but the biggest steal by far was Tom Brady going in the 6th round out of Michigan. I'm a Michigan fan, and he was pretty damn average in college and most scouts considered him the LEAST athletic QB in the entire draft.

He only even got on to the field when he did because Mo Lewis crushed Drew Bledsoes lung. Who knows when he starts getting reps if that never happened. Really shows how random all of this is.

3:05 2020 was a pretty good year for QBs. The 4 QBs who were drafted before Jalen Hurts were Joe Burrow (To The Bengals), Tua Tagovailoa (To the Dolphins; also Jalen's former teammate at Alabama), Justin Herbert (To The Chargers) and Jordan Love (To the Packers). All 5 QBs are starters for their drafted teams which is pretty cool and somewhat rare (Rare being that the first 5 QBs taken become the long term future for their teams, in any draft).

6 QBs were drafted before Brock Purdy in 2022. None of them have panned out. Many of them are no longer playing for the team that drafted them.

Tom Brady was taken in the sixth round. Finding a franchisee QB is very difficult. Most first round QBs, don't end up being good players.

I'm an Alabama fan and I think I'd take Cam Ward over Milroe. I think both will be great, but I have an opinion that Milroe will be good but Cam Ward is something really special. I love Milroe just like we still have love for Hurts. There is no potential on those types, but man when I watch Cam Ward I see another level. Just my opinion.

2nd round picks cannot be steals. They are top 64 eligible college players. A steal would be later rounds like 5th to undrafted players After 3rd round comp pics, you at still at around 100 players mark. With all the different positions, 3th round picks are still top 10 in their position, sometimes top 5

Probably the only draft more random and bad than the NBAs. Scouting is terrible these days because of how extremely uncompetitive and bad college sports are. It's impossible to tell who is actually good.
