A little fun fact about the Texas flag, back during the battle at Alamo, Tennessee, volunteers came down and died for the independence of Texas. The Tennessee flag used to actually have four stars on it Tennessee also gave one star for the Texas flag and that’s how you come to know the one star flag for Texas the lone star state Tennessee’s flag to the state only has three stars, when originally it had four

I have a painting business and in 2023 I met so many customers from California. They moved here to Texas and wanted to immediately redecorate the houses they bought. Most were rich people. But some were people that sold their California home for over a million, moved to Texas and bought an 800 thousand dollar mini mansion. They were so happy until they received that first electric bill. Cooling and heating huge houses is very expensive, especially if you don't get on a "electric plan". Many of them live in a two story house but don''t use the upstairs because it's too expensive to cool during the summer. Some even use window units because they can't afford the central air bill.

There’s a lot to offer but you still have the green belt around it and the price of your homes and the food is very reasonable I think it’s a great place to think about living. There is a lot of home producers that produce fresh vegetables, meat, and milk that you can pick up in several different places in East Texas. Thank God for these people that still do this, so we can have a healthy choice.

Texas has the most, but its not the only one. If you live in Texas, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, or South Carolina this phenomenon is hitting you as well. We see California plates fairly common, when it used to be none at all. I haven't noticed any problems with them as far as brining the baggage with them. I feel like the ones who realize its time to move out are the ones who understand not to bring it (generally). Calfornia is expensive for other reasons as well. It has no dependable source of water. 75% of the USA lives on the other side of the river. While they have great business and such they still import a lot of stuff across the country. If you go to Califonia cities outside of LA, there are great ones. If you drive from top to bottom, you will realize a lot of it is barren land (unless you're north). You have to realize if you drive outside of that stretch its a desert. Over here you can network from business hub to business hub starting Texas and make it all the way to Canada. There are great things out there, but they are alone. The other 80% of us are much, much closer together. For instance, Atlanta isn't the biggest city, but we have the busiest airport in the US and the world. Its all about where you're near and where you can connect to in order to grow and solve logistic issues.

Lol... Texas is the sixth worse in air quality. Their population growth has slowed and California rebounded last yr. Also the new education stats just came out last wk and Texas is in the bottom 20 percent in most categories. Oracle and HP have moved out of Texas too. Average home price is now $350,000. Have some of the highest prop taxes. Don't know when that was made but not as wonderful as he sounded.

Texans don't mind Californians moving here, all we ask is that everyone remember why they left California. Don't turn our Texas blue, its prospered because it's a red state. Btw the air is only dry in the north and west part of the state. All around the Houston area and all up the coast it has extremely high humidity. Add that on top of high heat in the summers, and the summers are very brutal. Winter also even though it doesn't get very cold, the humidity makes the cold feel worse. To answer Dana's question, California is probably one of the most beautiful states with great weather--equal to Italys climate. Their GDP is even higher than Texas. With that said, California's politics, high prices and change in demographics has chased anyone with half of brain to move out. I moved out to North Carolina from California decades ago. I come from a huge family and 8 of my brothers and sisters have moved to Texas--it just makes too much sense finacially. California is full of a bunch of no loads looking to suckle of the government which has attracted tons of homeless from all across the U.S. because they know they can get more handouts/free stuff than anywhere else. The gang culture, sanctuary cities and lack of border control has really made the place a dangerous place to live. I loved growing up in California, but you couldn't pay me enough to live there now which is a shame because the place all the way up & down the state is simply beautiful!

As a third generation Californian, I have watched my state destroyed by corruption, bad political policies, the inability to get anything done or build because of horrid red tab and bureaucracy. It’s all due to one party control-Democrats, but not just any sort of Democrat…it’s the San Francisco Bay Area sort of Democrats that run the entire state. They live in a fantasy world that has no common sense. Many Californians, in the North State, the Central Valley, and the Inland Empire, do not have a say in how the state is run and have suffered. The saddest part, is that maybe all the disasters that have befallen this great state, may be the only way to get the political changes needed, to bring it back to its former glory.
