They didn't even mention French toast which is on at least as many menus as waffles, if not more. And yes, biscuits and gravy are often served for breakfast. Those are pretty much just weekend foods in the average household, I would assume.

US here. Breakfast for me is usually a cup of yogurt; toasted scone or American biscuit topped with a fruit spread, orange juice and coffee. But my fave type first meal is usually Sunday brunch at a diner or restaurant, with mimosas or Bellinis; omelet, pancakes or Belgian waffles, coffee.

It's funny that you guys in the UK eat baked beans for breakfast. In the United States Baked Beans is usually only a side dish to be eaten for dinner on camping trips. lol

My ideal breakfast is gourmet french toast with powdered sugar maybe a bit of cinnamon somewhere and maple syrup, fried up eggs either scrambled with cheese or over easy, maple sausage, crispy bacon, hot chocolate or OJ or both honestly, and hash browns as strips or a patty. Cinnamon Toast Crunch is great just don't let it get too soggy. My Dad makes fried English muffins with peanut butter on top, also a crispy bacon sandwich between two slices of buttered toast (this would prob be good with egg in the middle too). Peanut Butter Crunch is good but tough to eat, Reese's is good, Lucky Charms, Froot Loops, Apple Jacks, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Honey Nut Cheerios is better with poured sugar on top.
