I was in this audience🤣 Believe it or not, Taka was actually under the weather here! His voice is a bit more raspy than usual, but I think it really adds emotion to the song. Definitely check out the 18 Fes version too. That one is a rehearsed performance with 1000 18 year-olds chosen from around Japan. It'll definitely give you the chills.

I wasn’t paying attention to KZbin for a bit and didn’t realize you were doing a marathon! I was so excited when I saw you had reacted to this. As someone mentioned before, the 18Fes version is amazing and has made me tear up even, definitely recommend although I don’t know how you feel about listening to the same song again.

First time I stopped by to listen to ONE OK ROCK, and I'm glad I did. Thoroughly enjoyed the song, the vibe, the energy, the crowd participation. The singer has a great voice-sort of Bieber, only better.😎

I know I'm late for this by 2 months but, here is a nice fun fact about this song. TL;DR: Band made the song for a festival called 18Fes and released it later. There is videos on KZbin about it. Also radwimps, wanima and many more joined the festival too. There is a festival called 18fes in Japan. It's about celebrating the young people who turned 18 and inspiring them. There is a television channel called NHk and every year they organize a big event for the fest. NHK reached out to One Ok Rock and said "you guys are gonna pick thousand young people from the videos they've sent and perform or make something for them" after that band picked their choices and decided to make a song with them in it. They've made the song for that and decided to publish it. The "we are" vocals at the beginning of the audio versions are from that festival too.

Decent.Loved that crowd participation at the beginning, cool with the wrist bands. A little on the pop side but not inducing any need for Chuey's therapist. That kid really does have a good voice too. VOB is more our speed, since you brought them up. I agree, the drummer does kindly have a Stewart Copeland vibe, believe it or not I went to a Police concert back in the day!

@@BritPopsReact At the Los Angeles Forum. The Rush concert I went to had Golden Earring, The Police then Rush. It was a hell of a show!!

I KNEW they could do better than the last one! This was more like it, definitely. I could actually listen to this one and end up singing along (badly) to it. The lead has got a cracking voice. OK, midway through this Marathon and my like-o-meter is creeping up. Hmmm. Interesting. Didn't I already listen to this? Or is my scatty brain imagining it?
