The brisket sandwich is so good. But getting in and out of the parking lot can be a pain. Also my pet peeve is people who pump fuel and then don’t move to a parking spot to go inside. Those bars look like a Moon Pie. Another southern delicacy.
@thebritstry7 ай бұрын
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! The brisket sandwich was a real favorite of ours. Surprisingly we didn't actually fill up with gas😂
@jamesdaniels13347 ай бұрын
Leaving your car at the pump while you go inside is part of their business model and why they have so many pumps. Their studies have shown that if people have to move their car after pumping gas, they're more likely to just keep driving and not go inside to shop.
@jamesjones75267 ай бұрын
The key for fueling and shopping is to pick a spot on the outside, not right in front of the store. Also, it helps to know exactly what you're going to buy. Fountain drink, lemon cookies, and a pulled pork sandwich takes me less than 5 minutes if there's no line at the register.
@christophersalzwedel91647 ай бұрын
I always park at the pumps. There is something special when you tell them what pump you're on, then they turn on the cameras, and show you your car for verification.

In the Old West (also Australian Outback) cowboys would live off beef jerky and coffee for months, occasionally having money for rancid bacon and beans. It was portable in your pocket, cheap, reasonably free of bacteria and mold, and could be cleaned up and made soft and greasy with a small fire. The native Americans made deer or venison jerky for centuries as it got them through long, cold winters when corn meal would run out and game was scarce. There were similar dried and salted meats around the world, some dating back thousands of years and usually used by nomadic people who had no ability to keep livestock or stocked gardens.

So, traditionally, jerky was used in the western days as a snack while riding on the trail, it was meant to not be chewed right away, but rather to suck on in the mouth to entice the saliva glands to operate, it helped stave off the need for water where water was often scarce.

Legend has it, the chopping board at the brisket station is three times the thickness of regular chopping boards because of THAT guy.

We just got our first Buccee’s in Colorado. I’ve heard it’s a nightmare so far, because it’s so popular. Beaver Nuggets are so addictive. 😂

In Texas, the pecan (pea-con) as we say here, is a soft nut in natural, and they grow all over the place in central and south Texas - mostly in the country. Glad you enjoyed our Buccee's - near Houston (where I'm from) and surrounding areas we have I think four Buccee's; Baytown, Katy (with the largest car wash) Waller, Muesche Rd.

Still don’t get the attraction of a gigantic gas station with cheap tourist food and gifts 😂

You should see the absolute cluster crush of cars trying to get into a buc-ee's on a holiday weekend. I Saw both north bound and south bound off ramps both directions of I-65 in Alabama packed full with a line of cars the lenth of the off ramps trying to get into the already full buc-ee's lot with every gas pump occupied....then you see why there's so many darn pumps. So Heads up for all you wanting to go to a buc-ee's that is the only one in that area 4 the 1st time on a national Holiday when the interstate gets clogged up with too much traffic.

You need to visit Gruene Hall. It's right down the road. Its the oldest dance hall in Texas.
