As someone who lived in Atlanta, the home of the original chick-fil-a, let me tell you, that location had an off day. People LOVE CFA because of the customer service, they rarely if ever get ur order wrong, fresh/quality ingredients (USUALLY), and the food is good. That said, if you had Popeyes first, you were spoiled. So, here's a little history lesson, Chick Fil A created the chicken sandwich. It's the originator, so their original chicken sandwich with just fried chicken and pickles is exactly how they were originally made. No sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, nothing but bread, chicken, pickles. Now restaurants all over the world make their chicken sandwiches with all of the toppings, condiments, extra crispy, etc. So, when you are eating chick fil a, it's helpful to know the history. That said, Chick Fil A sauce is a combination of BBQ, Honey Mustard, and Ranch. I always get the Sunjoy (sweet tea and lemonade mixed), the original chicken sandwich (I add chick oil a sauce and sometimes mayo before eating it). If I get the fries, they HAVE to be hot, or forget about it, so you're not wrong for being disappointed. You should also try their other sauces and Mac n cheese. Also, yes, everyone is shocked when they see the nuggets for the first time. But they literally cut up chicken breasts and fry them. Unlike every other highly processed fast food chicken nugget that has filler ingredients and shaped into a nugget. So, you are paying for the quality and actually eating MORE chicken.

It's standard is high, sometimes not perfect. The expectation is hard to live up to 100% of the time. I will say that the nugs aren't so incredible, but the service and sammich are! I get nugs because I want more food, because my appetite is too large. It is still good and I eat them with bbq sauce. Warm food is always better.

I've lived in Atlanta for 30 years and agree with this assessment. CFA generally does great on service and speed, and if you eat their food in-store, it'll be hot and fresh and you'll get the impression that most people seem to have. I think their food is good, but not so good that it blows you away. I like going there, except that a) they tend to be mobbed at lunch and dinner, and b) I don't like the corporate Christian agenda.

Sounds like the food was not fresh. Usually the waffle fries are crispy and hot. Same with the nuggets. They have the best original recipe style chicken sandwich but I prefer the crunchy batter of Popeyes.

In the States we don't consider it a burger unless the meat has been ground up like hamburger. It doesn't have to be beef, but it does need to be ground meat. Otherwise it is a sandwich. So we would consider Chick-fil-A whose chicken is a filet to be a chicken sandwich rather than a burger. If they used ground chicken meat then we would consider it a burger. Just my two cents. But what do I know. 😂

Fyi...if you get your order and the fries are warm/cold, you can always take them back in there and they will give you fresh ones. (Or to eliminate it from happening at all, when you first order, just say "fresh dropped fries, please") 😊

Having a tomatoor sauce in something should'nt be the main reason it is juicy. If its dry without the tomato then its dry with the tomato. Same applies to a sauce.

Chik Fil A is amazing. You guys started off with an “attack mode” pretty much complaining about everything from the fries to the sandwich to the drinks. I’ve been to England several times and have eaten the food there. Almost everything I had there (fish and chips, etc.) was greasy or cold. So….😂

Chick-Fil-A originated in Georgia, and Georgia is the peach state. CFA has a peach milkshake on their menu. Maybe try that. As I recall, it has little chunks of peach in it, so it is pretty tasty, but not necessarily smooth. And, the chicken isn't crunchy, but it has a great flavor. Kentucky Fried used to be good when I was a kid, but it has gone waaay downhill since then. I haven't ever tried Popeye's, so I can't comment on them. Raising Cane's is pretty good. As I recall, you get your money's worth.

I must agree about the temperature. I love Chic Fil A but they might be a victim of their own success. They seem to be so crowded most of the time that it's not that common (though not unheard of) to get your food piping hot anymore.

Chick Fil a sauce is basically a honey mustard meets golden barbecue sauce and as an American hearing a chicken sandwich called a burger is nails on chalkboard. A chicken burger in the US would be what yall British call minced chicken meat pressed in a burger patty and cooked off as such. What you guys ate a chicken breast on a bun is a chicken sandwich. Yeah we may do fries in shakes but it’s more common practice to dip Wendy’s fries into the Wendy’s chocolate frosty. No the frosty isn’t a shake it’s closer to a soft serve ice cream. It plays off hot vs cold and salty and sweet.

What you need to try is the original chk sandwich with extra pickles and mayo. They also have great waffle potato chips, Mac and cheese, and chk noodle soup (add some salt & pepper). At Christmas, try their peppermint milkshake.

Each time I had chic fil a, they've been consistently MID. I always thought i got it on a bad day but I've convinced its not as good as ppl say. The fries are never hot, and the sandwich is ok 🤷🏽‍♀️

An American fast food staple!!! The spicy chicken deluxe, the mac & cheese, and the kale salad oh my God! Let’s not forget the amazing customer service! I don’t know if by the time you’re reading this if you tried the spicy chicken deluxe, but if you haven’t, you need to try it. I’ve never had any of their drinks because I don’t like drinks like that so I generally just get water. And portions are not the greatest so you definitely should not be sharing! Lol

Order food. Park somewhere. Set up a camera. Open everything to see what it is. Close the boxes. Eat things one at a time. Analyze the taste. Complain that they aren't fresh when you get to them after 20-30 minutes of prep time.

If you haven't tried it already, try Raising Cane's. Popeyes started in New Orleans, Louisiana and Raising Cane's started in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Their main focus is chicken fingers, and they are good. Love your videos. Keep um coming.

Just a quick thing. In the US, a chicken burger uses a patty made of chicken, but a chicken sandwich is a slab of chicken, like that. We say that to differentiate if someone wants a specific type.

You'd be hard pressed to find any place that calls something a chicken burger in the states. Same with a fish burger. We do have turkey burgers but that's ground turkey turned into a patty like a hamburger. For some strange reason the rest of the world took our name for ground beef and used it for any sandwich with a round bun. If you ask for a chicken or fish burger at most places they'll look at you like they have no idea what you're talking about.

I worked at a chik-fil-a stand at my university. We brined the chicken in pickle juice. And everything is full pieces of chicken. Not a reconstituted chicken, like a McNugget.

you have to order a malted milk shake (or malted or simply "malt") to get a malt taste, it doesn't come in a normal milk shake ... it's really rare to find a malted at a fast food place in the 2020s, it's sort of a thing of the past - malt shops were popular in the '50s, but are no more. I love a good malted! but then I'm old enough to have been a soda jerk in high school (also a thing of the past like bag boys and paperboys) my first 3 jobs no longer exist! haha

I would actually get just a regular or spicy chicken sandwich. Just plain chicken and bun with pickle and then add the Chick-fil-A sauce. Pretty simple i know but it’s probably the most ordered off the menu. If made fresh it’s arguably the best

Always get the Spicy Deluxe, it’s the best CFA sandwich. Also their Mac & Cheese is the best side. And the best lemonade is 1/2 lemonade, 1/2 iced tea. Best sauces are Sweet & Spicy Sriracha, Buffalo, Polynesian. IMO

I love y’all videos and as an American, imo, Popeyes is way better than Chick-fil-A. I agree with everything you critiqued about their food. You got spoiled having Popeyes first. I think Popeyes is the better chicken sandwich. You also had the wrong sandwich here. You want the original with just pickle. My favorite fast food chicken is from a chain called Jack's (NOT Jack-in-the-Box) but sadly there are only two of them here in NT, I was raised in MS and they are all over in MS and AL.

The difference is that Chick Fil A chicken is not processed. I used to work at a chick fil A and we hand filleted every chicken breast, cut them up for the nuggets, or just filleted for sandwiches… the waffle fries should have been hot…that’s a let down. So, the difference, is real chicken vs processed chicken from most fast food places. Chick fil A is the healthiest fast food. Only thing is they use peanut oil to fry everything, so if you have peanut allergies…tell them. They SHOULD make a separate fry basket with a different oil.

Chicfila lemon-aid goes very well with a shot or two of vodka. Chicfila sauce is like a mustardy bbq sauce. Next time you go you gotta try their mac and cheese, I always get it over their fries. Chicfila sandwichs taste a bit "fresher" then most other fast food palces. I agree its not amazing but their spicy deluxe is a lot better then the standard sandwich. I think popeyes is better for chicken sandwiches but they are not as consistent as chicfila which also has much more sauce variety. Their honey roasted bbq sauce is my favorite one. Much better than their honey mustard in my opinion.

The plain regular old #1 Chick-fil-A sandwich is my favorite & the chicken is marinated in pickle juice to keep it juicy. Their breakfast chicken mini biscuits are good. That location u went to sucks they under served u guys food. Usually it's extra fries lost in the bag.

Spicy chicken sandwich and add the chikfila sauce when you get it. It's definitely good. Also, their chicken tortilla soup is great. Also, if you're in Fayetteville georgia, try Truett's luau. Its a chikfila but with Hawaiian vibes.

Brits don't have real lemonade. They call sprite lemonade. Chikfila is the real stuff. I love how Brits complain about our large portion sizes, then when they get smaller portions and complain. The standard chicfila sandwich doesn't have tomato, lettuce or cheese, just pickle. You could have just ordered that, it's better without the veg.

I'm with you, I've had Chick-Fil-A a couple of times and am not impressed. The sandwich is ok, the waffle fries have always been warm, soggy and mealy. Nothing to get excited about. Popeye's is so so much better!

It was the same one both times, in a mall. The staff were rude, busy talking among themselves, the service was slow and the product was warm and mediocre both times. I haven't been back to any Chic-fil-a since and won't unless I'm starving and there are no other options. I'm glad you have had a good experience with the brand.@@alyviabryant7132

Seems you didn't get very fresh food, I'm sorry you didn't have the best experience. I actually love this place. I go at lunch. Food is always hot and fresh because they're so busy so they're constantly cooking it up fresh but they move swiftly.

I generally go with the honey mustard at Arby's or KFC. For Chick-fil-A it's their Chick-fil-A sauce all the way. They even sell it in large bottles at stores where you find other condiments. I know others have mentioned the "burger" thing and I don't know exactly why, because I'm an Anglophile who loves listening to Brits use their language, but I still cringe when I hear 'burger' used for any sandwich on a round bun. LOL

When you do go to Arby's try the French Dip and Swiss. The sandwich was originally created in Los Angeles and I'm sure you can get a better one at a restaurant there, but for a fast food version, theirs is pretty good. The beef and cheddar is a go-to there for a lot of people. BTW, speaking of cities that have created sandwiches, I am from Louisville, KY which created the Hot Brown, or Kentucky Hot Brown as it is often called outside the state, so if you're ever around these parts, or anywhere that offers a hot brown, I suggest trying it out. We even have places in town where you can get a hot brown pizza.

When you order fries, you have to eat them right away. It gets cold pretty quickly. Any fries that's cold do not taste good. Give chik fil a another chance and eat what you order right away

Love your vids and getting your perspective on what foods in America taste like. I'm sorry that you were disappointed with what you got. However, I can assure you that it's not the norm. CFA is an institution especially in the south and they are known for their customer service and quality. They are far superior to something like McDonald's or Burger King. The nuggets are 100% white meat chicken not some molded mess like McDonald's. Most of the locations have lines wrapped around the building two and three times. Next time get the original chicken sandwich and their famous sweet tea with lemon. I promise your next time will be better; they are just way too popular to let you down twice!! But the most POPULAR dipping sauce is POLYNESIAN Sauce 💯💯❗❗ You didn't get the regular Chick-fil-A sandwich with the pickles and it's in a bag. Chick-fil-A has good wraps as well as salads. Yes I agree. Get the original and add chick-fil-a sauce or polynesian. It's funny how Brits like to try American food favorites on KZbin and proceed to eat them in ways that 99% of Americans would never eat it and form their opinion based on that. (Taco Bell with no sauce, Biscuits eaten all by themself with no condiment or dumped in gravy, Peanut butter with fancy weird jams instead of grape jelly, American pancakes without butter. Just to name a few.) And you try weird sides that aren't popular instead of the signature side. It's frustrating but hey, Ya'll don't know any better. Lol

I'd give it another try. Sometimes you need to give a place a second or third chance in case there is a bad day. The fact your meal wasn't hot is the first red flag for me. Maybe try a different location too.

Doesn’t matter if it’s Popeye’s or Chic filet? It’s just a chicken sandwich. But no shade thrown. Y’all are rookies at knowing how to order the best combinations. Personally? A spicy chic filet with pepper jack cheese is my favorite starting point. The only thing spicy in the Popeyes is the Mayonnaise. Both are awesome. But the only time I pick the Popeyes sandwich is on Sundays just because that’s the only day Chic Filet is closed 😂

At Chic fil a I highly recommend the Spicy deluxe with pepper jack. But I noticed like me, y’all don’t like tomatoes. Just tell them spicy deluxe, pepper jack no tomatoes and you’re 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

You should try Chick-fil-A for breakfast. Their chicken, egg, and cheese biscuit and their sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit are delicious. You should have returned your food and asked for it hot. The second mistake was you should have ordered a regular chicken sandwich. Please don't call it a buger because that's not a pattie. This is a real chicken breast. Hope this helps.
